The Cornwall region

There are so many places to visit in Cornwall. With it's mild climate, the gardens are all beautiful and the beaches many and varied.

Gribben View is ideally situated to reach pretty much the whole of Cornwall, with most places being within an hours drive. There are details and suggestions of places to visit together with maps of the area available for your use in the cottage.

For the Poldark fan, Gribben View is within easy reach of all of the set locations, Charlestown being within an easy stroll.

1 mile from the main road through St Austell, Gribben View is located above the 17th fairway of Porthpean golf course, giving amazing panoramic views of St Austell Bay and the Gribben peninsula. Close to Porthpean beach and several other south coast beaches but also convenient for north coast beaches and most of Cornwall's tourist attractions.

There are numerous beautiful fishing villages nearby with quaint harbours, such as Fowey, Mevagissey and Charlestown.
