Luxury Duplex Apartment - Sleeps 4

This stunning apartment was completed in June 2011 and boasts luxury amenities and spectacular, panoramic csea views of Güllük. The duplex apartment is ideal for couples and families, and has all the mod cons; free Wi-Fi, air-con, flat screen tv, dishwasher, washing machine, etc. It is situated on a complex with it's own private beach and jetty, seven swimming pools, tennis courts, multi sports court, several children's pools, several jacuzzi's, a sauna and a plunge pool. There is also a swimming pool directly in front of the apartment, so you can have a quick dip or keep an eye on the children. There are other local beaches you can try including Tepekoy and Jasmine beach, which is 5 mins away (Concierge will shuttle you down there for free) which is one of my favourites. The apartment is in a very peaceful and tranquil location, but you are not far away from a trip to the castle town of Bodrum, the dolphin park, watersports (Gulluk) or the fantastic water park. The complimentary resort boat takes you across the bay to Güllük (25mins,) where you can catch a Dölmüs (local bus) all over the Bodrum peninsula.

In the evenings you can either chill out on the balcony with a glass of wine taking in the breathe taking views, walk down to the new marina bar and restaurant at the bottom of the resort, or take the complimentary boat across the bay to the quaint fishing village that is Güllük, where there are several bars and restaurants to try, including the Momento Bar and Broken Barrel for some thirst quenching cocktails or local beer. Or for some alfresco dining you have a fine selection including Berkhan's for delicious Pide and locally caught fish. There is a cafe by the main pool to grab a drink or a snack and there is also a small shop at the resort entrance to stock up on your basics.

*****About the owner***** I first visited Turkey 18 years ago for a holiday and I fell in love with the Bodrum Peninsula. I have family that have moved out there and I have been visiting year on year ever since. I love the guaranteed hot weather, local cuisine (meze, fresh seafood etc) and the very warm hospitable locals who will always make you feel welcome. I bought this fantastic apartment for me and my family to enjoy, and also as an investment to rent out to allow others to enjoy what this lovely country has to offer. I have only just started advertising this apartment for rental, hence the very low introductory rates, so please don't be put off. Please do contact me if you have any questions.

Located just 10 minutes from International Bodrum Airport, Güllük is an unspoilt fishing village boasting many fine promenade restaurants, bars, al fresco eateries, local stores and markets. Arriving at the harbour, there are a couple of local shops for basics, but for a more substantial and sometimes cheaper shop, head to Migros located just five minutes’ walk from the Harbour. This a great store for stocking up on local beer, wine and fridge essentials. There is also a lovely fruit and veg stall just at the entrance to the Horizon Sky Resort (5min walk), and also a local shop selling warm fresh bread.

The resort runs a regular complimentary boat service between Horizon Sky and Güllük so it is very easy to enjoy a day shopping or an evening out here.

There are cashpoints available just by the square and a short walk through an archway will take you to the dölmüs stop. From here you can quickly access local towns, Bodrum or Milas.

There are also a multitude of local attractions including the beach, watersports, pleasure boat trips and glorious sunsets.
There is even a dolphin park where you can swim with dolphins about 20 minutes drive away and a fantastic aquapark reached by dölmüs from Güllük.

Historically, Gulluk, formerly known as Kulluk prior to 1933, was an import export harbour for the Greeks trading during the Ottoman Empire period. The store buildings and warehouses are today restaurants serving locally caught sea bass and bream.

Your holiday to Turkey wouldn’t be complete without a day or evening spent in the enchanting town of Bodrum.

The town's charm is well-known, attracting a diverse population of vacationers who stroll along its long palm-lined waterfront, while elegant yachts crowd the marina. The evenings in Bodrum are for sitting idly in one of the many restaurants, afterwards night clubs (some with live music) and, of course, some of the best discos in Europe keep you going until dawn.

Shopping is delightful in Bodrum. Leather goods of all kinds, natural sponges and the local blue glass beads are among the bargains to be found in the friendly little shops along the narrow, white-walled streets. Charming boutiques offer kilims, carpets, sandals and embroidery as well as original fashions.

Situated on a beautiful peninsula, Bodrum, known in ancient times as Halicarnassus, was the birthplace of Heredotus and the site of King Mausolus' Tomb, the Mausoleum (4th century B.C.), one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

In the harbour, the Bodrum Castle, or the medieval castle of St. Peter, is a fine example of 15th-century crusader architecture, and has been converted into the Museum of Underwater Archaeology, with remains dating as far back as the Bronze Age.
