Outside you have a large decking area with furniture and gas barbecue supplied.Close to the house you have have many blue flag beeches fully life guarded and suitable for families with children, the nearest being Carramore beech less than a 5 min drive away ( 3km ) and serviced with a car park and toilets. Also within a 10 min drive is Old Head Beech again with car park and toilets, also an ice cream parlor during the summer months. For the more adventurous you have Carrowniskey Beech approximately 10 mins drive away and popular with surfers, kite surfers, and canoeists all year round.A few miles further on you have Silver Strand Beech also well worth a visit.The 19th Century town of Westport is only a 20 min drive away, and has a wider variety of shops,restaurants and pubs etc to choose from.On the way to Westport you will pass the foot of Crough Patrick.A regular taxi service is available to Westport and back.

Stretching from Lough Corrib in the South to Killa Bay in the North, County Mayo boasts many attractions, including long sandy beaches, stunning mountain scenery, megalithic tombs, excellent hiking trails and great golf courses.
To mention but a few towns, one of them being Ballina lies on the river Moy and is internationally known as an anglers paradise with exceptional salmon fishing, another the 19th Century Town of Westport, a lively town with plenty of traditional pubs with Irish music, ( look out for Matt Molloys Pub of The Chieftains fame ).
Westport lies at the mouth of Clew Bay where you will find Achill Island, the largest island off the Irish coast with lovely mountains, moors and beaches.
Louisburgh, is a popular tourist destination with many restaurants, cafes, pubs and shops. It is located on the Bunowen River renowned for its salmon and trout fishing, it is ideally situated for trips to Westport, Lennaun, Galway, Cliften and Achill.
There are many fine sandy beaches in the area ie Carramore, Old Head Beltra and Silver Strand with the nearest less than 3 km from the house.
Louisburgh and its neighbor Killeen are are located on the Atlantic coast of Mayo, they are set in a dramatic area of outstanding natural beauty between extensive sandy beaches and a backdrop of mountains. Killeen is a more rural area stretching along the coast from Clew Bay to Killary.
The 19th Century and award winning town of Westport is only a 20min drive ( 17km ) from Louisburgh, and has a wider variety of shops, galleries, restaurants and pubs to choose from. Golfing ( www. golfwestport.com ) a health club / spa and indoor swimming pool are also included, as is a cinema.
On the way to Westport you will pass the foot of Crough Patrick ( www.croughpatrick.com ) climb to the top
( approx 2.5 hours ) and view the breathtaking view of Clew Bay.
The drive to Lennaun ( approx 30mins ) through the Sheefry and Mweelrea mountains ( hill walking ) with views of Killery Harbor is not to be missed, you can even take a cruise if you wish, on the way you will pass Ashleigh Falls and the well known Delphi Adventure Center.
From Lennaun you can discover Cliften and the beauty of Kylemore Abbey in its spectacular setting.
Not far from Louisburgh ( approx 20mins drive ) a ferry can be taken fro Roonagh Pier to the remote Clare Island and Inish Turk.
