When renovating 'La Petite Maison', we tried to retain its original feel with a huge fireplace in the kitchen/diner and with beamed ceilings throughout it exudes charm and atmosphere.
The cottage has 1 bedroom with en-suite shower. From the bedroom you can walk on to your own private patio with garden furniture, sun umbrella and your own B-B-Q. There is a Sitting room with a comfy sofa and TV. Kitchen is well equipped with crockery and stove, but no oven. You will just find a Microvawe.
You have your own private access to the pool. The owners house is opposite the cottage.
For an extra charge it is possible to request a meal prepared and cooked by the owner.
Parking is very easy and safe.
Coming on holiday here you have the choice of just relaxing by the pool or if you prefer to see and do things, there is plenty for you. Spend a day at the beach in Royan where you can also visit a Zoo, visit lovely french markets, explore other close by villages.

The Southern Charente is situated at the crossing of Perigord, Dordogne and Gironde and it takes about an hour to get to the coast.
Once you are here you will find that it is only a short drive away from the Bordelais, which is one of the greatest wine growing regions in the world.
The Charente region is also very famous for its Cognac and Pineau, a blend of eau de vie and grape juice.
The Charente river runs about 360kms through the most beautiful countryside in the Poitou-Charente and it finishes on the French Atlantic Coast.
Between Angouleme and the Atlantic coast, it winds through rolling vineyards and past ancient water mills, through sleepy villages and beside Romanesque churches.
For centuries, the Charente was busy with commercial traffic but today itís one of Franceís most popular rivers for pleasure cruising.
Take a cruise boat with commentary from Cognac, Jarnac or Saintes, or pilot your own self-drive cruiser.
The Charente is easy to navigate downstream from AngoulÍme to Rochefort, a distance of around 171 beautiful kilometres.
Get close to nature and watch wildlife.
Explore riverside villages and browse colourful markets for delicious local produce.
Once you explored the South Charente on the river, come back on land and have a look at all the Mills you will find across the countryside.
For quite a long time these Mills contributed to the local economy.
As you can imagine not all of them have been restored to former glory but a few are worth a visit.
There is Moulin du Grand Fief in Condeon, which is a wheat producing windmill and has only recently been restored.Le Moulin de la Gravelle in Lagarde sur Ne and Le Moulin Sartier in Salles Lavalette, just to name a few.
And of course you will find many lovely Villages, Restaurants, Churches and Museums to try out and explore.
I hope this gave you just a little bit more information about the lovely South Charente and might make you feel you would like to come and have a little holiday here.
The village you will be coming to is actually called Poullignac and is located 3.5kms from Deviat.
Poullignac is a very small village with about 95 people living here and every last weekend in June we have the Patois Festival here.
It happens on a Sunday and it's quite a big event and all the villagers get involved.
In Deviat you will find a little shop and Post Office. You can buy lovely french bread and other little essentials.
Your nearest Supermarkets are in Barbezieux or Montmoreau, which both at a distance of 24 ams.
About 15 minutes away you will find Brossac where there is a Lake and a perfect spot for a picnic. Restaurants are there as well.
If you drive for 30 minutes you will come to a lovely village called Aubeterre and there you will find a Monolithe Church. You can do Kayaking or swimming. It has a lovely square filled with Restaurants and little shops.
