County Down is on the East Coast of Northern Ireland and is the gateway to the unspoilt natural beauty of the Mourne Mountains, the spectacular coastline is home to a number of beaches, harbours and villages, the surrounding area has a host of tourist attractions to suit all age groups. Downpatrick the county town is the burial place of St Patrick and offers the visitor a number of interactive visitor experiences.


The Royal County Down Golf Course (recently ranked the number 1 golf course in the world) is 1 mile away from the house. In the past 5 years Newcastle has undergone a transformation and now offers a beautiful promenade and a host of restaurants and bars. Murlough nature reserve is a short drive away as is Tollymore and Castlewellan forest parks which offer a range of short and long walking trails to suit all ability's. For the more ambitious walker our house offers access to the Mourne Mountains.
