The North Wales region

Betws y Coed is known as The Gateway to Snowdonia National Park. The village is popular because we are so central to the region's top amenities such as the historic castles, waterfalls, walking and cycling tracks, beautiful mountains and valleys, and some of the most breathtaking scenery in Great Britain. The many attractions offered by Zip World are within a 20 minute drive as well as Surf Snowdonia and the start of many of the Snowdon paths.

For those wanting to see the sights without having to climb there is the steam or diesel train. The area is famous for some of the best narrow gauge steam trains to be found any where. Bodnant Gardens is considered to be amongst one of the best in the world and is just 20 minutes away.

Tyn y Fron is just a 7 minute picturesque walk to the village where you can find all you need to make your stay really memorable. We have some great restaurants where you can enjoy local fresh produce cooked at its best, and we are happy to make reservations for you.

The shops unlike so many destinations are individual and with different quality merchandise that you would be proud to take home. If you are into activities there is bike hire and maintenance available (we have bike storage in our garage and a hose is available). Lots of walking and cycling tracks start here and many visitors never leave the immediate area since they are so richly provided for. From June to September the village hosts the male voice choirs in St Mary's Church, every Sunday evening. Walkers', Christmas and Artists' Festivals are held each year and it is worth visiting when they are on.
