The England region

There's so much to do, see and explore in Cornwall. With the longest stretch of continuous coastline in Britain, you’ll discover tiny fishing villages, smuggler’s coves, countless spectacular beaches and sweeping bays, dramatic cliffs and coastlines, plus beautiful moorland and countryside. Perfect for surfers, walkers, bird watchers, honeymooners & families alike!

The Lizard Peninsula, Cornwall, England's most southerly point is a secret back water - almost an island, girded on three sides by the sea and the fourth by the meandering waters of the Helford river, only a tiny land bridge connecting us to the rest of Cornwall. Whatever your taste or choice for relaxation we have everything for you to explore from golden beaches to pebbly coves, dramatic cliff tops to still rivers and creeks full of bird life. Freshwater lakes, open heathland, fabulously hued Serpentine rock outcrops and gardens full of sub-tropical plants warmed by the Gulf Stream. We are only a few miles from the most southerly point at The Lizard. Ruan Major is a small hamlet, and quiet even in the peak season, yet we are just a few minutes f4romone of the finest beaches in Cornwall, Kynance Cove. And a 40 minute drive to the most Westerly point at Land;s End and the Minnack Theatre. The famous beaches of Kynance Cove and the fishing village at Cadgwith are only a couple of miles away, as well as big sandy beaches accessible by road at Poldhu and Kennack Sands. In the summer months we can point you toward the dog friendly beaches if you like too!The traditional Furry Dance takes place just 8 miles away in Helston on Flora Day on May 8th every year. Add to this an amazing choice of restaurants and pubs serving beautifully fresh fish and other local produce, an eclectic selection of artists and craftspeople and every activity from surfing to sailing, hiking to horse-riding and all in a quieter setting than you ever thought possible in Cornwall. For those who like theme parks we are close to Flambards which also has a great One2Eleven indoor play area for those rainy days if you don't fancy a wet windy walk along the cliffs!
