At Ducksfoot Farm we have two stunning holiday cottages both brimming with character in beautiful surroundings. Ducksfoot Barn is a fantastic weather boarded barn conversion whilst Garden Cottage (see separate ad - Ref 211516) was converted from old farm buildings. Both have a wealth of exposed beams and original features and are exceptionally pretty. They have been furnished to an extremely high standard and are equipped with everything you should need to make your holiday perfect - we've even included a picnic hamper in each.
Ducksfoot Barn which sleeps 4/5 is a stunning weather boarded barn conversion, ideal for a family or 2 couples as we can set the bedrooms up as a kingsize and a set of twin beds or a kingsize and a superking. In a separate building close by is Garden Cottage which sleeps 2 in a double bed. If you are holidaying with grandparents or another couple who want their own space then our two properties are perfect and give everybody the flexibility and privacy that they need. You can come together to eat and socialise in the Barn or Barbeque in the Patio Garden - there is plenty of room for everyone.
If you are looking for peace and tranquility in beautiful surroundings then look no further.
However, if you want to step up the pace of life after a few days there is a huge range of things to do and see in the area; history, art, family activity, beaches and retail therapy are all a short drive away.

Ducksfoot Barn is equally suitable for couples or a family; one bedroom has a King Size bed, whilst the other can either be set-up as a pair of Twin beds or a Super-King bed. One of the sofa's in the lounge is a double sofa bed, ideal for one person but a bit of a squeeze for two. If further accommodation is required, our Garden Cottage, which is in a separate building but adjacent to the Barn, sleeps two in a Double bed.
Ducksfoot Barn has a spacious fully equipped kitchen, with oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge freezer. A separate utility room houses the washer/dryer, store cupboards, a shower and a wc, plus plenty of room for coats and boots. There's plenty of room for everyone in the large open-plan living area (30’8 x 18’4) with dining and lounge seating for 6 which boasts a wealth of exposed beams, underfloor heating, an integral sound system, TV and DVD player. Both bedrooms are en-suite.
A travel cot, highchair and stairgate are provided.

Ducksfoot Barn has a private and secluded courtyard garden with patio furniture and a BBQ.
We have a couple of used but very serviceable bicycles that our guests are welcome to use, perfect for a trip to the village, lunch at the pub or simply to tour the area.
Just around the corner, a pleasant 5 minute walk away, there is a small privately owned sports centre which includes a heated indoor swimming pool and a tennis court. Private swimming sessions, use of the tennis court and/or tennis coaching may be available on request and subject to availability. Fees payable direct to owner.
Our properties are set in the quiet rural hamlet of Bush Green. It is a stunningly beautiful area which is perfect for walkers, cyclists, bird watchers and artists or those who simply want to holiday in the peace and tranquility of the countryside. However, should you wish to explore the area there is much to see and do with a wide and diverse range of activities to suit everyone.
There are some wonderful village pubs nearby where you can enjoy locally brewed beer and excellent food.
Norfolk has an enormous number of beautiful and historic churches; Norwich has been said to have had a church for every week of the year and a pub for every day!
Norfolk boasts some of the most beautiful beaches in the country. To the east are Southwold and Walberswick. Visit Southwold pier for some real old fashioned fun, marvel at the brighly coloured beach huts and don't miss crabbing off the bridges and shoreline at Walberswick - one of our family favourites.
Head a bit further north to the bright lights of Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth, very typical but charming english seaside towns.

For something a little different to entertain the children a visit to Bewilderwood is a must. About a 25 mile drive, Bewilderwood is an award winning forest of family fun and outdoor adventure with treehouses, zip wires, jungle bridges, Crocklebogs, Twiggles and Boggles, storytelling, boat trips, marsh walks and more.
Around 25 miles away are the Norfolk Broads which can be explored by land or water or a combination of both. There are many different ways to enjoy the area, including sailing, motor-boating, canoeing, fishing, bird-watching, walking and cycling.
Head to Go Ape in Thetford forest for a fantastic day out. Get off the beaten track on a ‘forest segway’, enjoy Tree Top Adventure using tree top wires, crossings and zip-wires, or bike around one of the UK’s most beautiful forests.
Bush Green is approximately 5 miles from Harleston, a small but thriving country town with a range of independant shops, cafe's, pubs and restaurants. Harleston Farmers market is run on the third Saturday of each month from 9am to 1pm. A wide range of produce such as pork and bacon, lamb, beef and poultry, smoked and fresh fish, game in season, apple juice, fruits and vegetables in season, eggs, beer from a small brewery which makes unusual beer, home made cakes, pies and bread; chutneys, pickles, preserves, local honey all sourced locally within a radius of 20 miles.
Diss is a bustling market town around 11 miles away. Diss has a number of supermarkets and a range of independant and familiar high street stores. The market takes place every Friday and there are stalls selling a wide range of products including locally produced fruit & veg, specialist fine cheeses, fresh Lowestoft fish, cakes, country clothes, domestic and garden products. Don't go home without sampling Youngmans chips who have been selling their wares from Diss market for over 100 years! A farmers market is also held on the second Saturday of each month at the Market Place from 9am to 1pm. This is the place to buy locally produced food direct from the producers: vegetables grown for flavour and with minimal chemicals, beef and pork, free range eggs, home made fudge, apples and apple juice, jams, pickles and cakes, preserves, shrubs, crafts and more.
Don't leave Diss without visiting The Mere, a six acre lake in the heart of the town which attracts an interesting variety of wildlife into the heart of the town. On one side of the Mere, bordering the shore, Diss Park offers a lovely setting for a wide variety of organised activities, a peaceful picnic, playing or simply relaxing in the open air. The town centre is adjacent to Mere's Mouth opposite the Park, with car parking close by.

Frenze Beck Nature Reserve, a small wetland wildlife paradise on the western bank of the River Frenze in Diss.
Monsters, a purpose built play area for toddlers to 10 year olds. Perfect for when the weather lets you down and they need to let off steam!
Diss Swim and Fitness Centre, has a 25 metre main pool and a learner pool. There is also a gym, sauna, steam room and spa.
Diss Museum, a small and intimate museum which houses a fascinating collection of artefacts and displays about Diss and the surrounding East Anglian countryside over the years. You can see Victorian photos, work tools and clothing relating to Diss and the way it has changed as the years have passed.
Banham Zoo, voted the Best Large Attraction in the Norfolk Tourism Awards 2010. See all sorts of animals including giraffe, penguins, sea lions, meerkats, cheetahs, snow leopards, birds of prey, farm animals and much more, ride on the safari train, see heavy horses working. A great day out for the whole family.
If you fancy a bit of retail therapy then head to Norwich which has a superb range of shops including the usual high street stores, some excellent department stores and a wide range of independants, including boutiques and vintage clothing shops, galleries and antique shops . Don't miss the Norwich Lanes which bring an extra dimension to any trip to Norwich. Find individual and quirky choices including wonderful lifestyle, fashion and art. Against a background of narrow alleys and beautiful historic buildings shoppers will find exquisite galleries, vintage shops, quaint coffee houses, trendy cafés, contemporary restaurants, kooky entertainment venues plus atmospheric pubs serving real ale.
Norwich is a medieval city with over 1500 historical buildings. It boasts largest intact medieval street pattern in Europe. Places to visit include; Norwich Cathedral, Norwich Castle Museum and Art Gallery, Dragon Hall and Strangers’ Hall.
Norwich has also always been a great place for a night out with stylish café bars, pubs, clubs, art-house cinema, theatres, restaurants, nightclubs, concerts, exhibitions and festivals. Wonderful restaurants offering excellent value for money are open for pre-theatre and pre-cinema dinner and likewise there is a good choice of places to end the evening with a drink or cocktail.
West-End productions can be seen at the Theatre Royal Norwich. Enjoy foreign films, classics and live stream ballet and opera from St Petersburg and New York at art-house cinema - Cinema City. The Norwich Playhouse is a cosy venue for well know comedians and with its lively bar and garden by the river is a perfect place for a good night out. Norwich boasts a number of large cinemas showing the latest film releases.
