The Turkish Mediterranean Coast region

Best bit of the Eastern Mediterranean, relatively unspoilt with spectacular rugged coastline 330 days of sunshine and the famous crystal blue sea. Sufficiently off-the-beaten track so as to not attract the hordes at bigger resorts like Marmaris and Ölüdeniz. Once home to the ancient Lycians the area has many ancient ruins and lots to do and see.

Good base for relaxing and enjoying local pebble beaches AND/OR driving to see Arycanda (spectacular ancient city - the undiscovered Ephesus), Patara (at 18km the longest beach in the Med), Kekova (a sunken city just off the coast AND/OR trying the many activity sports the area is famous for - sea-kayaking and paragliding to name just two. The town is a charming old fishing port with a laid back atmosphere and lots of cafés and bars as well as a wide range of restaurants and interesting shops.
