Sandy beaches and secluded coves stretch along the Adriatic and Ionian seas with plenty of watersports available to try. Golf courses and horse riding are easily accessible from the house for those who prefer to stay on dry land and if you are interested in history; Puglia has a wealth of treasures all waiting to be discovered: prehistoric dolmens, roman ruins, greek temples Swabian castles, not to mention two World Heritage sites: the trulli town of Alberobello and the Castel Del Monte.
Ostuni (5 minutes away fro Dolce Casa) is known as the white city, a lovely town perched on 3 hills overlooking the Adriatic. The old town is a maze of white-washed houses and cobbled streets, with shops, restaurants and chic bars around every corner - perfect for an evening passegiata. During the summer you can go to a festival every night in one of the nearby towns, from festivals to celebrate food to the more traditional Saint’s days, you can join in the parties and enjoy the firework displays.
