Included within the rental price for Villa Emerald is the use of an automatic 4 x 4 Suzuki Vitara.

This lovely property is one of three villas, set on a magnificent parcel of land, covered in granite boulders and swaying coconut trees. The villa is situated on the 22 acre area of ocean view hillside land known as Sitara Retreat, which provides 24 hour security.

Villa Emerald boasts a private salt water pool and Jacuzzi, open plan tropical style living area, spacious fitted kitchen and dining room, and a mini gym, all with outstanding ocean views. Sitara is an exclusive private residency, surrounded by nature, with amazing rock formation and outstanding natural beauty. The villa is in the unspoiled south of the island which largely remains unaffected by over-development that unfortunately blights the north.

From the private car parking area, the path that takes you to the villa meanders around two impressive ancient granite boulders and invites you into this spacious, tropical-style, one bedroom villa. The large open style living room, with its beautiful tropical hardwood floor, provides magnificent views of the shimmering emerald ocean, together with far reaching views of the beautiful surrounding islands.

Within the living room there are 3 sofas, coffee table, circular dining table and chairs, together with its large flat screen with the top package on satellite tv, including showing football from the champions league and DVD player. Attached to the living room of Villa Emerald is the splendidly, newly created Reading Area with its spectacular views over to the ocean. Here are two large armchairs, together with a bookcase, filled with a selection of books. You can wile away your time reading a good book, or just relaxing, and admiring the captivating views across to the beautiful ocean and the wonderful surrounding nature of the villa. In the evening time you will see the shining lights of the numerous fishing boats out at sea, with the twinkling stars and shining moon, creating a magical ambiance.

Attached to this area is also a trellis-style open air retreat with oriental style mattresses, inviting you for an afternoon siesta! A dining table area with 4 chairs is also located adjacent to the living area, where you can eat and enjoy the fabulous ocean views.

Walking from the living area across a small bridge, is a lovely lotus pond with its own colourful tropical fish and baby turtles.

From the living room level is located the private salt water swimming pool, decking, with a separate Jacuzzi, where you can relax during the evening and enjoy cocktails under the stars, again with fantastic ocean views, as throughout everywhere in the Villa.

We have also created a new tropical open-plan Gym with its own attached shower room. Here you can work out and enjoy the fabulous ocean views and lush surrounding tropical greenery.

A gas barbecue is also provided by the poolside where you can cook freshly caught fish or meat from the local market and enjoy a romantic meal with the backdrop of the twinkling lights of the fishing boats out at sea.

The spacious open-plan fitted kitchen with its large table and chairs is where you can enjoy fine dining set amidst the striking granite boulders and lush garden area with ocean views. Also provided is a small utility area with washing machine and guest WC.

Above the living area is situated the spacious Bedroom with a beautiful tropical hardwood high vaulted ceiling, complete with en-suite bath tub, shower, double vanity unit and WC. This has been created with the classic look of Terrazzo.

The bedroom has a king sized bed, fitted wardrobes, dressing table, air conditioning, ceiling fan, and leads out to its balcony with fabulous far-reaching views of the lush green tropical setting and emerald ocean. All our villas have spectacular ocean views that are outstanding, with the Bedroom at Villa Emerald providing the most sumptuous views of all.

The Surat Thani Province region

Rising from the crystal waters of the Gulf of Siam, Koh Samui is a tropical paradise just off Thailand's South Eastern coast. The island's mountainous interior is coated in a tropical jungle with rugged trails that offer spectacular views. The whole island is surrounded by beautiful white sandy beaches and azure water.Samui is Thailand's third largest island at 247 square kilometers. And it's part of an archipelago of many other islands, including Koh Phangan, Koh Tao, and the Ang thong National Marine Park. Samui is renowned for its tropical beaches, coconut palms, a wonderful variety of spa facilities, exotic nightlife and friendly people. The island also has an amazing choice of restaurants, offering local and international cuisine that would be hard to match anywhere in the world. Samui seems to cast its magic spell on everyone who encounters it.The island's 50 km ring road offers tantalizing glimpses of Samui's gorgeous beaches, it takes you through sleepy fishing villages and seas of coconut palms. It also passes Samui's most impressive waterfalls and provides tempting turn-offs in the highlands. Yet most visitors are content to laze the days away on the beaches, soaking up the sun and cooling off in the turquoise waters.Samui may have a relaxed, laid back atmosphere, but the jungles and beaches offer every activity imaginable. The island has an exhilerating array of water sports such as snorkelling, scuba diving, sea canoeing, kite boarding and fishing. There's also mountain biking, horse-riding, elephant trekking through the jungle, tennis and even bungee jumping available for those seeking energetic entertainment. And an excellent golf course is available for a more gentle form of exercise.Sunny skies and calm seas prevail for most of the year. The southern part of the island, where Villa Emerald is located, remains largely unspoiled, compared to the north of the island. The villa offers a tranquil setting for nature lovers to feel at home, situated amidst a tropical paradise with amazing granite boulders.

Laem Set

Villa Emerald is located at Sitara Retreat which is situated close to the southern tip of the island. Nearby to the villa many of the island's main attractions are only a short drive away, which include Lamai beach, Butterfly Garden, Waterfalls, Aquarium, Elephant trekking, Grandmother, Grandfather Rocks, water sports, horse riding, Thai cookery classes, amongst others. There are many fine and varied restaurants serving Thai and Western dishes, all within 5-10 minutes drive from the villa. The southern part of the island still has that rustic charm appeal that the whole of Samui boasted years ago. The beaches on the south remain undeveloped, due mainly to the shallow coastline. If you like to explore you can still find areas where you have the beach to yourself, and never too far away you will find a Thai restaurant where you can enjoy true authentic local dishes.Villa Emerald is a 2-3 min drive, or 15 min walking distance (which is steep in a couple of places) of Laem Sett beach. This is a quiet and secluded beach and here one can admire a beautiful sunset, and see the local fishermen, with their long tailed boats, come into shore. Also located on the beach is the rustic Thai style Cool Bar when you can enjoy good food and a drink whilst soaking up the tranquil atmosphere. Within this charming area of Laem Sett there are several fine restaurants, serving both delicious Thai and European food, a few small, quiet bars, well-reputed massage shops, Yoga, taxi services and a travel agency. Also close by is ShaSa Resort, Centara Villas and Samui Orchid which opens its doors to non residents and has many facilities to enjoy, including smart restaurants and bars.Between 5-10 minutes away by motorbike or car, you have the fishing village of Baan Hua Thanon where fresh fish, fruit and vegetables are sold daily at the local market, together with local small shops, a 24-hour Seven Eleven store, a doctors surgery and Chinese Temple, amongst other things. It is a condition of Sitara Retreat that a 4 x 4 vehicle (or moped) is required to drive on the estate. We can assist in the hire of these vehicles at a competitive price. Click the link to our website for details. The roads are also quiet around this area, unlike the busy north of the island. If your intentions are not to hire a vehicle or moped, taxis can pick you up at the entrance of Sitara, which is a 4 or 5 minute walk down the hill.
