The property was constructed over 500 years ago, and although has been recently refurbished to a high standard, retains all of the original rustic features. In keeping with old properties, the walls are approximately 1 metre in thickness. The original fireplaces are still in use in the property. There are also wooden beamed ceilings which can be seen in the following photographs.
Given the property's location this is suited to a tranquil relaxing holiday away from any noise and high levels of tourists. However, for those wishing to dine out, or go into town, Playa Blanca is only a 5 minute drive away. Puerto Calero and Puerto del Carnen are only 15 minutes away by car, while Arrecife is approximately 25 minutes by car. The nearest beach is the beautifully sandy Playa Papagayo, again only 5 minutes by car.

The property is detached sitting in approximately 8000m2 of land, and therefore is always extremely quite and relaxing. As mentioned before the views from the terraces are quite simply breath-taking . Vehicles are parked within the grounds of the property and therefore secure.
Lanzarote is the Premier Volcanic Canarian Island. The climate normally does not go below 15 degs in winter and climbs up to around 30 degs in the summer months.
Ther are many places of interest to visit - eg. The Timanfaya Nacional Parque, The Cesar Manrique art collection at Tahiche, Los Jameos del agua, and the Rancho Texas Zoo Park, but to mention a few - free guide books are available.
Playa Blanca hosts many of the Island's best restaurants, with obviously fish being a speciality. There are numerous sandy beaches, and for those wishing a party, plenty of night life .
There is local market at the Marina Rubicon every Wednesday and Saturday, with local wines, and also gifts for those left at home. Within the Marina are many restaurants and bars overlooking the sea.
