For those who want to do something special and extra-memorable, mackerel fishing from the coastal resort of Beer in the season is a must. And what about going fossil-hunting on a local Jurassic-era beach?
Being close the city centre of Exeter, Acer House is in easy walking distance of a wide variety of shops, supermarkets e.g. 'Waitrose' (which also home delivers), and a myriad of exciting restaurants, including the renowned, 2-Michelin-star, multi-award-winning, world-class restaurant at Gidleigh Park, near Chagford.
The newly-refurbished Royal Albert Museum in the city centre is also worth visiting.
The beautiful mediaeval Exeter Cathedral and the surrounding Roman ruins are also memorable tourist delights.
The underground tunnels that joined the various part of the city are equally ready to be explored.
The popular red-coat tours of Exeter - including chilling ghostly tales - also run throughout each day.
