Bansko mixes modern ski resort/facilities with old fashioned town living. This town has hundreds of taverns where you can eat and drink for a fraction of the price and be entertained by local music and dancing!! Its awesome!
Bansko is predominatlly a winter resort but it is just as fantastic in the summer. I have been a few times to stay in the summer and have done activities such as mountain biking, horseriding, walking and fishing in the Pirin National Park. I love going to the outdoor pool and you can do this by driving 5 minutes drive to a wonderful outdoor spa swimming pool at Dobrinishte. Other highlights include golf at the new Ian Woosnam designed golf course and the main attraction-the Jazz and folk festivals. There was even once an arm wrestling tournament in the square. Monastry trips and a trip to the bear rescue centre are also possible.
