The West Nusa Tenggara region

Lombok is a beautiful, unspoilt island about 30 miles east of Bali. It is said that Lombok is what Bali was like 30 years ago.and it certainly still maintains it's Indonesian charm.and is far less commercial than it's neighbour. The island has a beautiful coastline with marvellous sandy beaches and coral reefs and is a snorkling and surfing paradise..

The people on the island are very friendly and crime really is not a problem. There are many things to see and do on the island apart from water activities. these include trecking to the mountain (the 2nd highest in Indonesia), visiting craft and pottery centres and tours to the traditional sites on the island. The weather is pretty good all year and is around 34 degrees. The wet season runs from November to March but it really does not present a problem - torrential rain for an hour and then back to sunshine !

Lombok is a 'paradise found' - discover it before it is too late !!

Senggigi, which is about 3 miles from the villa, is the centre for holiday activities. The village is very unspoilt and has a certain Indonesian charm with many restaurants, bars, shops and tour operators who can arrange your trips.

Unlike Bali, there are no night clubs etc so it is a quiet and relaxing place to be. You can take a boat from Senggigi Bay to the Gili Islands, where the beaches and snorkling are amazing.
