Eldersfield Tipis are tucked away at the end of a no-through road in the rural heart of the three counties placed at the centre of farm life within an approx ¼ acre paddock. During the day you will hear the bustle of farm life; animals being fed, lambing, calving, tractors scraping up or harvesting. At night you will be enveloped by a huge sky and hear the hooting of Barn and Little Owls and the odd moo or baa as the animals settle down for the night. While at the centre of farm life you will experience a great sense of remoteness and peace at being far away from the world.
The Tipi field at Nash End Farm is now complete with 2 toilets and a shower room, outside dining, a bbq and an outside tap for washing up. The interior of the tipis are left for you to embellish at your will! We provide a ground sheet and there is space for 4 adults to sleep in each Tipi.
The toilet and shower is the kind that you would find on a building site. It is clean and functional and also includes 2 sinks and 2 urinals and one shower separate from the toilets.
You can rent both tipis and would then have the entire use of the paddock to yourselves. You could then have several families staying or use one for sleeping and one for relaxing. You can set up extra tents at an additional cost. A perfect tranquil private location for a family gathering or college reunion.
We also have a beautifully appointed Shepherd's hut also listed on this site which could be booked at the same time for those who require a more glamorous glamping experience!
Situated at the centre of our 315 acre farm you will have unlimited access to the surrounding countryside (please follow the country code). You will be provided with a map which will show existing footpaths and suggested walking routes from the hut, ideal spots to pause for a picnic or to take in the spectacular views across all of the three counties which have inspired so many of our countries musicians, artists, writers.
If walking is your thing you are only a 10 minute drive to the Malvern Hills and if previously arranged Rosalind or Chris will ferry you to the start line and collect you from the finish line to enable you to walk this spectacular landscape.
We are 4 miles from a single carriage road which allows this sense of seclusion however, will find yourself to be 20 minutes to Tewkesbury with it's medieval streets and Abbey, 30 minutes to Cheltenham which is a fantastic shopping experience amid the Regency facades. Smaller towns abound with Ledbury and Malvern all within a 20 minute drive with their tea and craft shops. For those with a particular interest in the county towns of the 3 counties with their stunning Norman cathedrals and medical streets, you will find yourselves within easy reach of each being 20 minutes from Gloucester, 40 minutes Worcester 35 minutes Hereford.
Only a mile from the tipis on foot you will find 2 great places to eat. The Butchers Arms Eldersfield, is renowned locally as a great place to stop off for a pint with its low ceilings and small seasonal menu for which they have been awarded a Michelin star. Corse Lawn House Hotel, a wonderfully characterful old country house with a smart restaurant for formal dining or a bistro for a more cosy informal experience. Both are seriously good dining experiences. You can walk to both of these, or cycle.
If you are looking for a simple local pub, there are a lot of options but you will need to get in the car.
