Nearest Town

Blessington is just ten minutes drive away. A country town with a selection of shops and three supermarkets Supervalu, Aldi & Dunnes Stores. Blessington hosts lots of restaurants, pubs, a chemist, take-away's,off-licence, banks and an excellent award winning family owned craft butchers John Crimmins. The West Wicklow pub has been running a traditional Irish Ceili night for the past 20 years on a Wednesday night.


Hollywood village is just a 5 min drive and it has two traditional Irish country pubs Tutty's and The Hollywood Inn. Hollywood has great traditional music in the pubs. The Hollywood Inn offers lovely bar food a a reasonable price. Ballymore Eustace village is just 10 mins drive away. The Ballymore Inn has won the FĂ©ile Bia Food 2007 award its fine food and offers music on a Saturday night.

Excellent facilities nearby for golfing (Tulfarris Golf Resort or Rathsallagh Golf Course) or fishing for trout or pike (bring along your fishing rod) or horse riding or simply just a farm walk on site.

Within one hour drive to Dublin City. Travel to Tallaght and take the Luas Light Rail to City Centre - Excellent as the Luas departs every five minutes from City West.

Depart airport following signs for Dublin/M1/M50.

After approx 1.5 miles , exit M1 onto M50. This will take you to the South-western outskirts of city in roughtly 20 minutes. Be prepared for a toll-bridge on the way, so have some euros ready.

Leave the M50 at Junction 11 approx 15 miles /25km from the airport onto the N81 to Tallaght. Bypass Tallaght and head for Blessington. Pass through Blessington on the Baltinglass road and 6miles from Blessington you will see the petrol station on the left at a Cross roads. Turn left here onto the R756 Glendalough road . Pass through Hollywood village and up the Glendalough road. About 4 miles from Hollywood you will pass over the Kings River Bridge, continue on and take the second turn left, up a by-road L8353. About 1/4 mile up this road, turn to the left, down an avenue, you will see the cottage
