Devon is a spectacular county with a huge variety of locations from beautiful coastline with beaches to the rugged interior of the moors. Torquay is the main town of Torbay, also known as 'the English Riviera' because of the temperate climate which allows the iconic palms to flourish.
Access to the resorts of Paignton and Brixham are good, and the steam train is an interesting way of getting to Dartmouth along the scenic route.
Inland there is Dartington and Buckfastleigh, as well as Totnes. Plymouth is about 25 miles along the coast.
Torquay is a vibrant town, with many pubs, clubs and eating places. Activities include the zoo and living coasts, model village at Babbington, Bygones museum and Kent caverns.
Crazy Golf, and pitch and put in the town centre, harbourside restaurants, and numerous theatres make this a place with something for everyone,
