The England region

The local village is extremely picturesque and recently won the coveted title of ‘England’s Prettiest Village’. There are long winding Devon roads and beautiful thatched cottages, and of course the world famous '"cream teas"!

Branscombe

Believed to be the longest village in the country, it sweeps along a spectacular valley past colourful cottages down to the sea. Branscombe has two main historic working buildings, The Old Bakery and The Forge which are popular attractions, and close to the National Trust Tea Rooms too! Life in Branscombe centres around the two pubs, The Fountain Head is a CAMRA pub & is a must for the discerning beer drinker and The Masons Arms, award winning for it’s consistently wonderful food in the heart of Branscombe village. The surrounding countryside is a walker’s delight. The coastal path has impressive views and takes you to Sidmouth to the west and the historic fishing village of Beer to the east.
