Winterton-on-Sea is a small, quiet and historic fishing village on the east coast of Norfolk on the edge of the broads, and is approximately 8 miles north of Great Yarmouth.

Miles of unspoiled sand dunes and beautiful beaches make it ideal for relaxing seaside holidays. For those looking for a bit more activity the dunes nature reserve is within an official Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (SSSI and SAC), including natterjack toads and adders, and is ideal for bird watching and walkers. What's more an large seal colony has made it's home just north of Winterton, and are a delight to visit.

Winterton also provides easy access to the broads with numerous place locally to hire boats or exploring the broads.

And if you fancy a change of pace Great Yarmouth is only 20 mins away with all the bright lights and entertainment you'd expect from a large traditional seaside town with lots of varied activities to keep the whole family entertained.


Norfolk is one of Englands lesser know Gems, A beautiful and varied landscape, with miles of unspoilt beaches and Dunes. Norwich is a delightful city that is only 30 minutes away by car and is well worth a visit.

The broads are right on your doorstep and you can easily organise a day trip to see the area from a different prospective.

Deep sea fishing is available close by as are a number of National Trust properties.
