Llanfair & Welshpool Railway
Livestock market. Every Monday Europes largest sheep auction swings into life from 06:00 until late (usually after 17:00) well worth a visit just to see the auctioning.
Llanfair Caereinion β about 10 minutes has a Spar shop and a petrol station
Welshpool β about 15 β 20 minutes by car. Has a good range of supermarkets (Sainsburys, Morrisons, Somerfields, Iceland), all your high street favourites β Boots, WHSmith, plenty of cafes and coffee shops, and some interesting shops. Of particular note are:
