The sitting room is on ground level, with beamed ceiling, woodburning stove, a range of ambient lighting, comfortable seating and a 32" HD TV, Blu Ray DVD player with free Netflix and BBC iPlayer as well as a wide selection of books, magazines and DVDs. Glass paned doors lead through to the spacious, light filled kitchen with solid oak cupboards, dining table and chairs, quarry tiled floor and traditional overhead airer. Fully integrated appliances include washing machine, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. As well as microwave, electric kettle and toaster there is a great range of high quality cooking equipment.
Further glass doors lead from the kitchen to the conservatory and a glass back door to the small terrace area.
A staircase leads from the sitting room to the tranquil upstairs bedroom with its original beamed and coombed ceiling, view of the hills, king size bed, luxury bedding and dual control electric blanket. Next to the bedroom is the bathroom with bath and overhead thermostatic shower.
There is a regular bus service to the centre of Edinburgh and a bus service to Lanark which stops directly beside the train station for Glasgow. By car, Biggar is also convenient for the M74, the Scottish Borders and the beaches of the east coast. Convenient for Glasgow and the Scottish Borders a vast range of attractions and activities are available within a small radius. Near to the Pentland Hills and on the edge of the Southern Uplands, it is an ideal base for walkers.
