The Turkish Aegean Coast region

Hisaronu is surrounded by the stunning Babadag mountains affording cooler evening temperatures. The town itself is within a very short bus or car ride to Fethiye which is the main town resort where you are able to enjoy the relaxing area of the harbour side and choose yourself a trip on a boat, perhaps around the nearby twelve islands, or just take in the views of the lycian tombs in the rocks and the Roman amphitheatre. Fethiye also has the famous "fish market" where you can purchase your choice of fish, take it to a restaurant and they will cook it for you for a very reasonable fee (there are butchers where you can purchase meat if you are not all fish lovers). In the opposite direction of Hisaronu you have the famous Olu Deniz beach and lagoon which is set in the most stunning scenery and is also very safe to swim. Why not lie on the beach watching the paragliders come from the sky from the top of Babadag mountain or if you are brave take on the challenge!

There are lots of trips available to see many things in the area, you could try the mud baths at Dalyan, Local horseriding at Kaya Village, a traditional Turkish bath, a jeep safari taking in the stunning area or try paragliding off Babadag mountain. There are lot of trips on offer to suit everybody's taste and age.

Markets are held in Hisaronu every Monday and in Fethiye on a Tuesday. The markets are large and well stocked with everything you could imagine. A shoppers paradise.
