Cornwall is a truly stunning County with a rugged and rural landscape, a huge amount of coast line with breathtaking views and walks, incredible history with mining, fishing and the sea featuring heavily.

Cornwall tourism industry must be huge and they are doing huge amounts to both cater for this and promote it.

The UK's sunniest county has allot going for it from huge attractions like the Eden Project to many more local places of interest. Golf is now well and truly on the agenda with allot of very good courses being another string to its bow.

The Natural beauty of Exmoor adding another dimension with Bodmin only 20 miles away.

Restaurants are becoming more varied and plentiful with Jamie Olivers 15 at Watergate Bay and Rick Stein at nearby Padstow. There are two new for 2014 restaurants down at Fistral Beech. A guy who was a chef for Rick Stein for 14 years has opened a Fish Restaurant which is very good and there is also a large lively Pie and Cider bar which is very popular.

Fistral Beach

Newquays main attraction has to be the beaches there must be more than 10 sandy beaches all around the town, great for familys not just surfers. Fistral Beach is home to our national Surf Centre, many of the beaches have surf, as well as Watergate Bay which is just 10 minutes by car away.

The Town itself is a year round vibrant centre with many Shops and Resurants. There is a large retired population as well as the younger surfer crowd which all co exist very well. Newquay has something for everyone Newquay is somewhere you will go back time and time again.

Due to the Geography of Newquay and Cornwal there are loads of Bars, Pubs and resturants which overlook the sea all catering for Locals and Tourists alike. As there is so much choice they have to be good to survive so you will be surprised by the quality and value for money you will find. A great way to spend time.

There are festivals and competitions, on the beach or surf, most weeks of the summer with the big Boardmasters surf competition dominating.

If you do not fancy the beach the town and locality has plenty to offer including the Zoo, Skate Park, Swiming Pools,Crazy Golf and 9 hole Pitch & Put as well as the full Golf Courses. A Brand new Multiplex cinema opens in the town centre in the Spring of 2011, only a 15 minute walk away from the apartment.

Eden project, Truro and Padstow are only 20 minutes away by car as well as many other of Cornwalls finest attractions. St Ives is a bit further at 25 minutes.
Bus services are very good running along the coast, which is great if you want to walk along the coast path, as well as inland.
