The Aquitaine region

Gensac is situated between the medieval town of Sainte Foy La Grande and Castillon-La-Bataille, the site of the last battle of the 100 years war where they hold a re-enactment every July and August.

The world famous town of Saint Emilion is within 30 minutes drive and is a must for all wine lovers. There are numerous chateaux to visit to see first hand the process of wine making and then taste the results. There are also plenty of inexpensive cafes and restaurants to enjoy a great meal whilst taking in the glorious scenery.

Bordeaux and its amazing architecture is only an hour's drive away and "The Mirror" water feature down by the river is certainly worth a visit.
