The North Wales region

nglesey is many things. It is a place that inspires, a place that appeals to all the senses – a place to see, hear, taste, smell and feel. It is a place to get away from it all. But most of all, Anglesey is a place to get out and do!

From the minute you cross one of the bridges you'll see stunning landscapes, unspoilt coastlines and picturesque towns and villages that are just waiting to be explored. Miles of scenic coastal and cycle paths await you, as do some of the best water based activities.

Anglesey is a place like no other, with unparalleled beauty. 125 miles of coastline provide long stretches of sandy beaches ideal for families and water sports, together with dunes, secluded coves and bays for long walks. Anglesey boasts attractions for everyone, from working windmills to dark Victorian prisons; castles to zoos.

There is so much to be discovered, from the islands rich culture and heritage to the unusual 'moonscape' landscapes that are home to an extraordinary amount of plants and wildlife.

Much of our coastline has been declared an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), and come rain or shine our fabulousbeaches offer something for everyone – vast stretches of sand, safe swimming for the kids and windswept bays where a bracing walk and rock pooling are the call of the day.

Here, seeing really is believing, but don't just take our word for it – come and experience Anglesey for yourself.

Anglesey really does have something for everyone. Whatever your holiday requirements, Cerrig y Barcud is an ideal base for your holiday. Despite their peaceful setting, our cottages are only 10 minutes from the Britannia Bridge, so that the attractions of both Anglesey and North Wales are within easy reach.

Cerrig y Barcud Holiday Cottages Anglesey is ideally located between two of the island's most popular family attractions; Foel Farm Park and the Anglesey Sea Zoo. The cottages are only minutes from stretches of golden beaches set against a perfect backdrop provided by the mountains of Snowdonia.

If you prefer more energetic pursuits, then take comfort in the fact that between the air, sea, lakes, hill and beaches, there is hardly a sport that Anglesey cannot offer. At Cerrig y Barcud, we are more than happy to help you in making arrangements for any activities you may wish to enjoy during your time on the island.

Meanwhile, walkers, cyclists, bird watchers and lovers of nature will find Cerrig y Barcud well placed to enjoy their favourite pursuits.
