The Canary Islands region

The island of Lanzarote is situated just 70 miles off the coast of Africa and is the most easterly of the Canary Islands. Lanzarote is 60km long and 20km wide making it the fourth largest of the Canary Islands.

Lanzarote has a mild dry climate with average temperatures throughout the year between 21-29 degrees and the normal water temperature of the Atlantic Ocean ranges between 19 degrees in the winter and 23 degrees in the summer and autumn. Annual rainfall is just 140mm (5.5 inches). This make Lanzarote the perfect year round holiday destination for people of all ages.

Despite the volcanic nature of the Island, Lanzarote has several beautiful golden sandy beaches such as Playa Blanca, Playa Dorada and the collection of beaches at the Papagayo which are all near the villa.
