The apartment is located in the historic Eagle House , which directly overlooks Viking Bay with its sheltered, family friendly sandy beach. Built in 1796 ,Eagle House in its time served as the headquarters of the Coastal Blockade. In 1815 after the Battle of Waterloo when the Duke of Wellington defeated the French army under the command of the then Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte, it was at Eagle House that the captured eagle standards of the French army were delivered along with news of Wellington's victory over Napoleon in the battle. The house then became known as 'Eagle House ' to reflect it's own small part in the this historic event.
This unique one bedroom apartment is newly refurbished and furnished to a high standard including antique furniture. It is fully equipped with everything you need for a wonderful holiday. Broadstairs is a lovely English seaside town with something for everyone. It's a very popular location full of old fashioned seaside charm. Punch and Judy and ice-cream on the beach? We've got it. Music ? If you love traditional music you'll love Folk Week. Be warned though, Folk Week is incredibly popular and has a well deserved national and international reputation so if you'd like to check it out be quick as holiday rentals for that period get booked up quickly. For more contemporary music what about Lounge on the Farm for a festival vibe and some serious music in the sun.
