Riverside Barn is a 16th century stone building situated in the village of La Trimouille on the banks of the River Benaize in the Place de la Liberte near the mini supermarket and bar/restaurant which serves lunch and dinner. Across the bridge is a further bar/restaurant. Local amenities include a boulangerie, pharmacy, bank, hairdresser, tourist office, cinema and tennis courts.
The property was restored in 2013 to a modern standard retaining its 16th century original beams and foor levels. One of the latter day uses of the building was as a wheelwright workshop and cow shed. The accommodation provides an excellent base for tourism and relaxation.
The ground floor comprises a spacious open-plan sitting and dining area for 4 people with a window opening on to the river bank. There is a separate well equipped kitchen and cloakroom with laundry facility. Upstairs the master bedroom is light and roomy with river views from a Juliet balcony plus an en-suite shower room. The second bedroom has twin beds with an en-suite shower room. Outside there is a riverside terrace with raised flower beds and access to the river.
There is a public car park outside the property but secure parking can be provided if required.
