A mere 3 minutes walk from the famous Puerto Banus and the stunning beaches of Marbella, lies the La Alcazaba development with its lush well renowned tropical gardens. Nestled in the far corner away from the hustle and bustle of the pool is a very spacious well appointed 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom (sleeps 5) top floor corner apartment with a large terrace overlooking the treetops. The apartment has air conditioning and heating throughout along with a dining area, fully equipped kitchen and laundry room, plus of course the mandatory Television with Sky, DVD and Surround Sound Hi-Fi system, Ipod Music System, plus wireless internet. The apartment has just undergone a major upgrade in 2012.

Every apartment in the Alcazaba development is unique, but some are more unique than others, in particular our Treetops apartment. Situated on the top floor in the far corner, it offers a tranquil and spectacular treetop view of the gardens. There are 4 interconnecting pools, one for small children. Plenty of sun beds and umbrellas surround the pools (local charge during the summer months) There is an indoor health club, with a small heated pool, sauna and gym (local charge) 2 pool side restaurants, one a Spanish owned cafe, is open from March-October during the day, the other is the world renowned Trader Vics is open every evening.

The Costa del Sol region

With 320 days of sunshine on average each year, it is little wonder that Marbella / Puerto Banus has become such as attractive holiday destination. It certainly makes a change from the dismal English weather, which of course we all love.

There are stretches of clean sandy beaches where you can relax and soak up the sun, or for the more adventurous you can of course always try your hand at a watersport. At night the area comes alive with a thriving and fun entertainment scene.

Puerto Banus boasts just about every type of clothes shop you can think of, from top of the range designers to the more humdrum. If you can't find what you are looking for, there is always Corte Ingles. A 5 minute walk away is Spain’s equivalent to Selfridges. Everything under the sun, including a supermarket the size of two football pitches, with its wet fish, meat, fresh vegetable section, delicatessen, bakery.... the list goes on and on, and if you don't feel like hauling your shopping back to the flat, don't worry there are plenty of taxis available for about £3-4.

What sets The Alcazaba Development apart from all others on the coast, apart from it having the oldest and most established gardens, is its proximity to everything. In the last 15 years of going to Alcazaba, I have never had to hire a car. This is probably because I am one of those lazy types who spends most of his time either lolling by the pool, walking on the beach, or in the Port, all of which are a few minutes walk from the apartment.

The apartment is around 4 minutes' walk to the beach and adajacent to a tennis club.
