East Devon is the perfect location to enjoy the spectacular rugged Jurassic Coastline and beautiful scenery much of which is designated as being of outstanding natural beauty. The region offers many sandy and pebble beaches and coves which are perfect for exploring and rock pooling with children. There are also many footpaths woods and forrest trails to enjoy on your stay as well as historic buildings and places of interest. The county city of Devon, Exeter is a short distance away and is perfect for shopping or dining out.
Beer is an unspoilt fishing village of great character and is still has an active fishing fleet, you can buy the freshest of the days catch from the beach from the fishermen. Why not try a section of the South West Coast path which passes through Beer, Beer head in one direction is a dramatic sight at close quarters and offers a very pleasant walk to the nieghbouring village of Branscombe to the West. A walk east takes you on a high cliff path to Seaton with its mile long beach and Axe Estuary which is the perfect spot for bird watching from one of several hides along the lower reaches of the river.
