The Midi-Pyrénées region

Mestépès is located in a very beautiful part of France.

The sense of peace is intoxicating and some visitors just seem to want to do very little, other than to relax and sit under a tree while they take in the views, to let the stresses of day to day life, drift away.

Other visitors are keen to explore the many attractions in the area.

Nearby are historic Bastide towns, traditional french markets, the internationally renowned Jazz festival at Marciac, country and western at Mirande and Tempo Latino in Vic -Fezensac. A little further afield, the Pyrenees and the Atlantic coast.

Mestépès is set on a hill with 360% views of the beautiful and peaceful Gascon countryside, with glimpses of the Pyrenees.

A five minute drive away is Castera Verduzan, with its thermal baths and beautifully kept swimming lakes.

For lovers of the natural world, orchids abound, as do nightingales, larks, red squirrels, hupus, kites, buzzards, wild boar, deer, starry nights.

And of course there is the traditional Gascon cuisine, wines, Armagnac, a variety of restaurants, and the gentle courteous Gascon hospitality
