We have had such an incredible time at The Apple Garden!! It has been the most amazing birthday and I have loved every second! The cottage and all your thoughtful extras are simply outstanding!! The bath is great! (I had two!) It was great that we could bring Nero (the dog) with is too and all your little treats for him were great! Thank you SO, SO, SO, SO much for everything!
Love Dee (Roz, Steve, Matty, Aimee, Ellie and Dog)
We sat in the warmth of the kitchen enjoying our hamper of freshly baked bread, butter, raspberry jam,a pot of our favourite tea and a slice of a delightfully moist carrot cake. The wind howled around the cottage but we felt safe and warm by the log fire. Fluffy towels and hand made soaps for us to use and relax in the bath,in the glow of the candles soon had the stresses of work drift away. We slept soundly each night in a clean crisp white sheets in a quaint little room ,cosy and warm. It's now time to go home after a long weekend, where we have visited"Hay-on-Wye. where I got a cookery book for my collection from"Booths".We stopped in "Crickhowell" where we had coffee and browsed around the lovely selection of shops., we popped into abergavenny where I was able to get a skein of yarn hand dyed and spun locally from "The Woolcroft".We have enjoyed our walks with our little dog Bobby. This has been a very restful retreat for our anniversary. Many thanks Sarah

What a warm, cosy, lovely cottage to spend Christmas with family. Big enogh to fit all of us, yet small enough to be snuggly warm. Your decorations set ups up for a beautiful holiday. Being from America...loved the stone cottage with exposed beams - thought I was in a Hobbit house!!
Wonderful memories from a very special holiday.

To Sarah, Jeremy and Jack.
This was our first familly holiday since our son got married and I could have wished for anything more. your beautiful cottage was 5 STAR in every way, the comfort was very high on our list.
You have thought of everything and literally EVERYTHING - even though we did not need half of these things, you have catered from pets to the children to the adults. You welcome basket was so thoughtful, you took into consideration our diets and advised us about the local area. I would and will be recommending you strongly to all we meet and hope that we will be making a second visit to your wonderful cottage soon. Thank you for coming to sort out the dryer at a very late hour.

"Only disappointment is that we couldn't stay longer! We have stayed in many holiday cottages over the years and this one really is a cut above the rest. The little extras, the hamper, the flowers, the delicious chocolates, the fresh towels, the handmade soaps all make the cottage something really special."

A lovely cottage with excellent facilities. The biggest bonus for us was the cleanliness: this is the CLEANEST holiday home we have visited. Everyone enjoyed themselves and the home from home touches make it a perfect place.

We have had a wonderful family holiday at 'The Apple Garden' - a quaint home full of history and charm. The little extras provided were much appreciated and OH.. such comfortable beds!! The gardens provided a place to relax as well as play family ball games. The tree house and swing delighted the children. The winding lanes provided thrills and great food for thought...Last but not least, we shall remember for a very long time our evenings spent before a lovely log burner, discussing and laughing about our days outing.
With many thanks, Joan and Keith, Vanessa, Paul, Aaron and Lewis

Where do we start?! The garden? The stars at night? The lovely flowers, veg and provisions? We really have had an amazing time, completing walks every day with the children - they even managed the Sugar Loaf! Their best bits were the gardens, swing, tree house, football and musical instruments - they formed a band one rainy afternoon! The Longtown show was a fab day out, our son won a few races and a share of the prize money from the skittles. The dog enjoyed all the attention, the fresh air and wonderful walks from the door. Waking up to the gentle moo-ing has been making me smile, especially when I hear my husband talking to the cows through the hedge! Can't thank you enough for your hospitality and sharing this wonderful place with us.
Hope to see you again,
Love from Alan, Laura, Joseph, Eloise and Vida xx
PS The Crown at Pantegelli was superb as was the ice cream at Rowelstone - Worth the walk!
We've stayed in a few cottages over the years but this is the real deal. Fantastic cottage in a beautiful location. The finishing touches around the cottage are lovely as was our special Easter welcome basket. You were very welcoming and so was your lovely doggie Noodle. Thank you for allowing us to bring Jenson (our kitten) he settled in quickly and when not sleeping had a great time.
The garden and history of the cottage make it extra special. The night sky with the stars and clear sky was amazing!
Perfect way to escape crazy city life.

Had a wonderful time here, really enjoyed playing in the gardens. Having the whole garden to myself was great (as I'm not very sociable with other dogs!) so I don't get that much freedom on walks. Thanks for the treats! I have felt very happy and relaxed here and would love to come back. I have worn myself out, so am going home for rest now
6th- 13th June 2014
I have had a lovely time playing in the garden. Feel very happy and relaxed. Gone a whole week without barking!
7th- 11 July 2014
Even though I've got a bad leg I've still enjoyed the garden and I'm green with eny that I can't play in Jack's Treehouse. I've decided I'll remind my family to come back when my leg is better and sneak in when nobody's looking!
Bertie (Golden Retriever)

Totally exhausted after a load of lovely walks - highlight the ice cream that came my way after walking Pen-y-Fan! Cat's Back great too but disappointingly no cat! Thanks for the treats, bed and garden, Loved it!

I liked the garden and the long walks in the area. The Long garden was perfect for my sprints and chasing the ball.

I had a the best time on the swing. The football was really good and thank you for the Pogo stick. The tree house was amazing, fun and high!
From Sam (Aged 7)
We've had a fantastic week, great walks, great cycling and lovely pub food at The Bridge at Michaelchurch. One of our favourite trips was walking to the top of the hill from Llanthony Priory - lots of horses for the children to pat and an incredible view from the top. We'd also recommend walking to the top of Black Hill, Hay Bluff and Sugar Loaf Mountain - all are easy with children ( provided you bring enough chocolate!)
Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful cottage. We've had the best holiday in years and hope to be back again one day.
Love from Deb, Theo, Laura and Sam
PS The Fish and Chips at Ewyas Harold are excellent!!

We have had a fantastic stay in your gorgeous, characterful cottage over the New Year.
We really appreciated all the effort that has been put into making the cottage so comfortable and guest friendly!
Due to the wet weather we've spent lots of time hanging out by the fire although we have managed a couple of walks - we really enjoyed Llanthony Abbey today.
Thanks also for the lovely hamper of goodies! We'd love to come back soon and thanks again. Happy New Year!

As soon as we arrived at the cottage it felt homely and welcoming. The garden and the views are beautiful and we felt so relaxed spending time here. We enjoyed the local walks and pubs and everywhere had a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. "Hay on Wye is worth a visit, a beautiful little town with independent shops and a market on Thursday. Thank you for a great stay in a lovely cottage. The Welcome basket was very welcome - yummy! Jack just asked if we can take the rest home
Was great not having to bring towels with you - and the ones here are so lovely - super soft!
The gardens are superb and we enjoyed sitting in the sun while Jack played in the sand pit - the next group of holiday makers may find Olly the Octopus in there!
Lots of beautiful scenery all around- and very peaceful - apart from the occasional mooing cow
All in all, a lovely week. Tracy, Andy, Jack and Sue
