The old town centre of Bergerac is a joy to stroll through, with its many little squares, medieval stone and timber framed houses, cool fountains, pavement cafes, restaurants and interesting shops.Enjoy a boat trip from the old port on the River Dordogne in a gabare, a flat bottomed traditional sailing barge. Visit the Maison des Vins de Bergerac in the heart of the old town. It is a beautiful old cloister dating back to the 12th century.
