Honeysuckle Cottage forms part of the larger courtyard style development in the rural village of Chardstock.

The cottage comprises spacious contemporary accommodation but with modern finishes able to sleep 6 guests comfortably. However an additional two guests can be accommodated at an additional charge. There is a very large lounge / dining room with separate galley kitchen, hall and wc on the ground floor. The first floor includes two double bedrooms (one of which can be used as a twin room or double), the master having an en-suite shower / wc), and a further single bedroom with a single bed and pull out bed underneath, and family bathroom.

Chardstock village is located in East Devon close to the borders of Dorset and Somerset and is situated 4 miles north of Axminster and 4 miles south of Chard. Axminster offers most mainstream facilities and includes the River Cottage deli and restaurant. The popular coastal resort of Lyme Regis is situated just under 9 miles to the south. Other popular East Devon coastal destinations within easy reach include Sidmouth, Beer, Seaton, Charmouth and West Bay, the latter of which was featured in the popular television series Broadchurch.

The village of Chardstock has a local public house, The George which serves good home cooked food, together with a post office and general store, both of which are within 5 minutes walk of the Cottage. Within a mile is the Tytherleigh Arms which offers fine dining. The village lies adjacent to the Blackdown Hills offering walks for ramblers and hikers. Slightly further afield is Exmoor and Dartmoor. The north coast of Somerset (Weston-super-mare / Minehead) can be reached in around an hour.

Also within easy reach are Dorchester and Exeter, together with a host of stately homes and gardens to include Montecute, Forde Abbey and Killerton.

During holiday seasons changeover day is Friday, please enquire where exceptions are required. During school holidays the property can only be booked for a minimum of a week (7 nights) please enquire where exceptions are required.

Beautifully located in the small village of Chardstock in the rolling hills of East Devon. Many circular walks from the village.

10 minutes from Axminster and Chard. 20 minutes from the lovely fishing village of Lyme Regis and its famous Cob. 20 minutes to Chamouth and fossil hunting, also a good beach for dog walking. The busy seaside town of Seaton and small fishing village of Bere are 30 minutes away. In under an hour away the Regency town of Sidmouth and estuary town of Exmouth can be reached.

Exmoor national park is absolutely stunning with its seaside coves and moors.

For a day shopping Exeter and Taunton are easily accessible.


Chardstock has two pubs, The George which is a short walk from the property and serves good home cooked food. The other The Tytherleigh Arms serves Gourmet food.

There is a small shop and post office, which sells home made pies and cakes. They sell most essentials and should it not be found on the shelves then they are likely to have it in the stock room.
