the studio flat is located in the charming San Niccolò area which is the quieter part of the historic center, away from the hustle and bustle of touristy Florence, still at an easy stroll to main attractions (old bridge, Uffizi gallery, piazza della Signoria,. Boboli garden, Santa Croce church and piazzale Michelangelo are just a few blocks away).
Ideal to couple that wish to visit Florence during the day and, in the evening, having strategic stops on some of the cafès, wine bars and restaurants that light up the San Niccolò's neighbourhood. there is also a minimarket (alimentari) just a few doors upthe street, a bakery, a grocery and a pharmacy very close by.
Very quite and very luminous, the studio overlooks the medieval Florentine city wall and the unique second floor back gardens (only this part of old town has them).
San Niccolò studio's building goes bak to the XIIc. the area used to be very commercial as it was just inside one of the most important Florentine gates. in the XVIIIc the building was part of an old convent and after that, it was converted into private flats. it is on the 3rd and last floor with no lift and fairly narrow stairs (very common for the old town center), so it won't be suitable for elderly people. it is located at the back of the building (no traffic noise...only birds singing)!!!).
Just come and enjoy staying with us and we will try to help you in all your needs.

the san niccolò area is the only historic part of Florence surrounded by green.
the most importanty gardens are just min away and going to the piazzale michelangelo you will notice it. (when there, just visit the san miniato al monte church.
so on one side the hill and on the other the river arno, nature could do more to close up this unique florentine spot.
as it is on this spot it is more windy and chilly compare to the other side of the river.
twice a year there are oltrarno festival where you can even get to some of the museum and private gardens for free.
once a year we also do a meal on the stree which is a good fun too.
there are a few artist's shops in the neighbourhood, a very fine goldsmith and a few painters. a famous shoe maker and a few antique shops.
