Bergerac is just half an hour away set on the banks of the Dordogne river, bustling with markets, cafs, restaurants and shopping.

There are lots of things to do especially during the summer months.

The local town of Monsegur is a 13th century bastide town famous for its annual jazz festival. There are weekly markets for fresh local produce, and during the summer a weekly night market where you can enjoy eating and drinking local food and wine in the covered market square. The landscape is gently rolling hills criss crossed by quiet country lanes ideal for cycling and walking. A perfect location to enjoy all the region has to offer, from beautiful scenery, historic towns and villages, to world famous wine producers.

For the sports enthusiasts, there is canoeing, tennis and golf. Canoeing can be found in Eymet and Allemans du Dropt, local tennis courts or golf can be found at the Golf & Country club at Chteau des Vigiers.

Bergerac, about 35 min away, has a medieval centre, flowery plazas and covered market with the famous Bergerac wines and in particular the world-renowned Chteau Monbazillac and vineyards are well worth a visit.
Bergerac airport is only 20 minutes away with the low cost Company.

Just over an hour from the coast, a favourite for everyone is Arcachon Basin and Dune de Plya, Europe's highest sand dune with superb views of the Atlantic Ocean.
