Biddestone is a beautiful village located about 15 mins from the heart of Bath. The village has all the trappings of a quintessential location: stunning countryside, attractive stone houses, two delightful pubs serving good food, a village green and beautiful pond (with ducks of course). The Norman/Saxon church is also particularly attractive.
Perhaps one of the biggest features of the village is its proximity to Bath, one of the country's premier city's with a superb selection of shops, attractions, restaurants and architecture that will keep you busy and excited in equal measure.
Otherwise there are a host of even more attractive villages nearby, including Castle Combe famous for its association with a number of films, including War House most recently. Otherwise Lacock (5 miles), Corsham, Giddeahall and Chippenham (5 miles approx) are all worth a visit or provide you with your basic shopping facilities. For those interested in somewhere to choose for Badminton or Gatcome Horse Trials events, Biddestone is very convenient.
Nearby Attractions include Bowood House, Stourhead, Longleat House & Safari Park, Glastonbury, Wells Cathedral, Stonehenge or Salisbury Plain all of which are well worth considering when staying in Biddestone.Naturally there are fabulous country walks from the doorstep of the cottage, or for those a little more sporting(!) there is a golf Course 4 miles away.
A great location without question!
