Lavender Barn was originally built in 1750 and reconstructed using its original hand cut Norfolk carstone and chalk .

The Barn is wonderfully presented and superbly equipped to offer an idyllic hideaway for you to relax in real luxury and enjoy the dramatic Norfolk Coastline and beautiful local area.

Every attention to detail has been taken to offer a delightful venue equally suited for couples and families.

The sea shore is just 2 miles away and offers long flowing sandy beaches, and is great for water sports such as kite surfing and sailing. Lavender Barn is also perfectly placed for you to experience some of the UK's best bird watching at the RSPB reserves of Snettisham and Titchwell.

The local area is steeped in medieval history - with Castle Rising a short walk away. Burnham Thorpe - The birthplace of Norfolk's most famous son Lord Horatio Nelson is also within easy reach.

The stately homes of Houghton, Holkham and Sandringham are close by and we are also uniquely placed for you to enjoy some of the best links course golf in Norfolk. Old Hunstanton and Brancaster courses are located just along the coast line.

West Norfolk offers the very best in country life and we are in an area of outstanding natural beauty in which you can enjoy many walks and explore the hidden treasures of Norfolk's unspoilt villages, windmills and country towns.

Lavender Barn offers you a special welcome. On arrival enter through the portcullis gates and into the granite & travertine courtyard.

Entering the barn you are greeted by a spacious and welcoming lounge with its centre piece - a unique brick fireplace and cathedral wood burner.
The lounge opens up with feature frame, vaulted ceiling, oak beams and oak staircase - all keeping the barn light airy, warm and welcoming.
The lounge is comfortably equipped with fine sofa and seating, a 32'' TV/DVD . Broadband is also available.
The kitchen and dining areas offer a fully fitted oak kitchen which is packed full with all the home from home needs. The barn character continues with a butler sink and double oven Falcon range cooker and Wok. A real wow for the budding chef !
The dining area features fine leather seating and on arrival you will find a welcome pack with our compliments
To the rear of the dining area is a separate toilet and washing machine room.

Upstairs comprises 2 large bedrooms and a natural stone bath and shower room.
The bathroom has a separate shower and sunken bath all set in natural travertine along with a heated towel rail .

We offer luxury towels and fine Egyptian cotton linens throughout your stay with us.

The bedrooms are both large and spacious and offer a real country feel. The stylish character of the barn is continued throughout the bedrooms with vaulted ceilings; exposed oak beams and funky spot lights complimented by oak flooring and roman blinds dressing the windows.
There is a dressing table; merchant chest and wardrobe along with TV/ DVD Digital radio and iPod station

Bedroom 2 offers a versatile combination of 2 single-beds with the option to convert either to 2 king size; 4 singles or a combination of a king and 2 singles.
The room has all the same features style and luxury as bedroom 1.

On arrival enter through the Portcullis gates and into the Granite & Travertine courtyard.

Outside we have a small south facing courtyard garden complete with parasol, patio chairs, mosaic table and family BBQ . A perfect way to relax and enjoy the big Norfolk skies.

Getting around

We would recommend a car in order to get to see the best of the local area. There is also a very good bus service offering a coast hopper route as well as direct links to the Kings Lynn bus and railway stations from where you can travel onward to Norwich, Ely, Cambridge, Peterborough and London. Train connections operate from Cambridge and Ely to London Stanstead Airport and Birmingham.
