Hazel cottage (4 Star Gold) have been totally refurbished for 2011 to the highest of standards using the finest of materials. Located in the pretty hamlet of Gawthrop, beside the babbling brook of Oliver's Ghyll. A short walk on countryside footpaths will take you to the centre of the pretty village of Dent, with cobbled street lined with whitewashed cottages you will find a visitor centre, 2 pubs, 2 cafes, meditation centre, art gallery, 15th century church & village shop. Dentdale is home to the highest railway station in England on the famous Settle to Carlisle line and home the highest peak in the Yorkshire Dales (Whernside) where you can set of to do the 3 peaks challenge. Dent is very close to the Lake district, Hawes & Kirkby Lonsdale.

It is home to the Yorkshire Dales 3 peaks, the highest mainline station in England that is part of the Settle to Carlisle line. Dentdale has 3 real ale pubs that serve home cooked food, meditation centre, 2 cafes, art gallery and a village store. The network of footpaths will suite all walkers with Wherside to the East and the lakeland fells to the west, You could choose a different footpath each day from the doorstep of the cottage.
