"A perfect place to unwind"
We went as a large group of family and friends for a 60th Birthday celebration for the weekend. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is beautiful and the cottages are of a very high standard, very comfortable and well equipped. We had full use of the Coach House which was a perfect place for us all to gather. Interacting and feeding the animals was definately a highlight of the weekend, especially for some of the party who looked after a baby joey that had fallen out of it's mothers' pouch! Lindsay and Frank were wonderful hosts and made us all feel very welcome. Our entire party said they would love to return in the future.

"An opportunity not to be missed!"
We attended as a group of 19 for a small celebration. The venue is in a secluded valley - very green, with fields and rolling forests around. Arriving you can immediately see reindeer, emus, alpacas and even a zebra. Lindsey and her family (who are based in the main farmhouse) are happy to show you around the rest of the farm and introduce the pigs, polecats, Coati Mundi, porcupines, tiny horses etc, many of which you can help to feed. Essentially, if you like animals you are in heaven. We were lucky to be there when there were a lot of farm babies, so there were gambolling crias (baby alpacas) and deer to bottle feed. The accommodation was a series of converted farm outbuildings and some charming 'shepherd huts'. They were very well stocked with spotless toasters, hobs, fridges etc for self catering purposes. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. There was also a pool, bbq area and so on (great sunloungers!), as well as opportunities to walk in the local area. Although we were here for a purely social time, I can also imagine this being a really good venue for team building etc - you immediately feel out of the normal grind. All in all, incredible value and a really unusual short break.

"Perfect peaceful retreat"
We loved Paddocks Magical Rural Retreat with it's perfect valley setting and beautifully restored cottages. The catering facilities are excellent and the accommodation luxurious - no detail was overlooked. We enjoyed feeding the animals, relaxing in the hot tub and playing rounds of table tennis in the games room. This was a fantastic location for the extended family to enjoy an important birthday celebration.
