Description

Formerly the home of the Royal Marines School of Music, Admiralty Mews, has been converted into grand impressive seaside houses. Located on The Strand in Walmer and forming part of the Walmer Seafront Conservation Area, Number 16 is a wonderful large family holiday home arranged over 3 floors offering plenty of space. All the rooms have magnificent high ceilings with enormous sash windows to the front and back of the house providing an abundance of light pouring through. The accommodation is modern in its styling. Sleeping six in three bedrooms and using the large comfortable sofa bed, this accommodation is perfect for families and small groups and not forgetting your dogs too!

There is a truly contemporary kitchen/diner fitted with white high gloss cabinets with striking black work surfaces and tiled floor. The kitchen oozes light in this open space. At the far end, snuggled in under the huge windows, is a lovely sitting arrangement of two bright red identical sofas facing each

There is a truly contemporary kitchen/diner fitted with white high gloss cabinets with striking black work surfaces and tiled floor. The kitchen oozes light in this open space. At the far end, snuggled in under the huge windows, is a lovely sitting arrangement of two bright red identical sofas facing each other just perfect for bringing people together. There is a good-sized dining table with seating for 6. The living room, with its hardwood floors, offers comfortable seating with two settees around a fireplace. There is a fun colourful rug, throw and scatter cushions that add a vibrancy to the space. The walls are lined with books - borrow one from the collection and retreat to the courtyard as reading is surely the best way to relax on your holiday and on a rainy day there is a collection of board games.

There are two double bedrooms that also benefit from large windows and a further single bedroom. Both the double bedrooms have fitted wardrobes so there is plenty of space for hanging clothes. The master bedroom has huge statement drapes at the windows and a ceiing chandelier which adds to the grandeur of the room. The grey, tiled contemporary family bathroom has a bath as well as an impressive walk-in shower. Outside, there is a pretty paved courtyard area with decorative pots, shrubs and plants with outdoor furniture. There is even a Weber bbq for those balmy summer evenings that Deal is blessed with. We highly recommend Admiralty Mews as a really great place to stay as it's such a short walk to the pebbled shoreline that typifies this stretch of the East Kent coast and less than half a mile to the thriving centre of Deal.

Deal recently featured in the Times 30 best places by the sea and also won the accolade of the Telegraph High Street of the Year. Deal is a great base for exploring the East Kent coastline including the blue flag sandy beaches of Broadstairs and Margate. Inland, there is the UNESCO World Heritage site of Canterbury and the medieval cinque port town of Sandwich. With castles, museums, wildlife parks and gardens galore there is something for everyone. Some great eateries have opened recently including hip French bistro The Frog and Scot as well as Poppy's kitchen with its seasonal, organic freshly cooked food for breakfast and lunch.
