There is a ultra modern kitchen set against black and white with sleek black kitchen cabinets and white metro wall tiles. There is a small island, breakfast table with seating and is really well-equipped. Across the hallway from the kitchen is a decadent styled dining room with velvet drapes, antique furniture and array of interesting decanters and glass vases. The main feature of this room is the large dining room table which is just perfect for evenings in enjoying an easy home cooked meal - immerse yourself in the local food scene with locally sourced fish from Jenkins fishmongers or meat from the Black Pig.

Downstairs, vibrant colours infusing happiness are used in the basement snug with tv that contrasts with the dark colours that run across the walls, floor and skirting boards. A huge inglenook fireplace dominates this room, either side the walls are hung with beautiful stylised peacock patterned wallpaper that is both elegant and tasteful. Small potted plants on the windowsill add life and a splash of colour along with the bright floor rug and sofa cushions. Dark wood period furniture and interesting prints are used throughout the home. There is a warm, atmospheric feel to the house emphasised with the use of lighting from ambient antique lampshades in the snug to modern vintage style light bulb ceiling lights in the kitchen. The two double bedrooms on the top floor have a restful feel and both have feature fireplaces and period chairs. There is a family bathroom.

Deal recently featured in the Times 30 best places by the sea and also won the accolade of the Telegraph High Street of the Year. Deal is a great base for exploring the East Kent coastline including the blue flag sandy beaches of Broadstairs and Margate. Inland, there is the UNESCO World Heritage site of Canterbury and the medieval cinque port town of Sandwich. With castles, museums, wildlife parks and gardens galore there is something for everyone. Some great eateries have opened recently including French bstro The Frog and Scot as well as Poopy's kitchen with its seasonal, organic freshly cooked food for breakfast and lunch.
