In a sought-after spot on Deal's picturesque seafront, with its pebble beach and award-winning Pier, you're just a short, level walk along the prom to restaurants, pubs, a wide selection of shops including independent and high street names, and supermarkets. Whilst literally a stone's throw from the beach and within the sound of the rolling waves, this is a ground-floor property and does not have direct sea views.
This sensitively renovated apartment now has all mod cons, whilst maintaining its period features of 1894, including original fireplaces in every room, the tiniest letter box and cornicing worthy of a wedding cake!
There are three large bedrooms, two with en suites, as well as a separate bathroom, sunny courtyard garden at the back which is perfect for lazy BBQs, patio area to front. Parking is free directly outside (a rarity in Deal). There is an undercover storage area ideal for golf clubs, bikes, pushchairs, wellington boots, buckets and spades, and of course your pebble collections... All on one level, with no stairs, the apartment is ideal for families with young children or people with limited mobility.
There are two convenience shops within 500 yards and all super markets will deliver directly to the apartment should you want to arrange this online before arrival.
The apartment is very child friendly and we provide the following childrens kit should you need it: High chair (x 2), Travel cot (x 2), Baby bather, Bumbo seat, Sterilizer, Bottle warmer, Bouncy Chair, Booster Seat, Potty, Changing Mat, Plug socket covers, Door guards, Plastic plates, cups and cutlery, Hand held blender, masses of toys and games.
Welcome manual available in English, Spanish, French and German. French-speaking.
Bike and mobility scooter hire can be arranged in advance.

“Excellent 4-night Stay at 49, The Marina, Deal”
I think this was our fourth or fifth stay at 49, The Marina over several years and I am delighted to report that Deal is as lovely as ever and the property was even better than we remembered. The owners have done some work on the garden area to increase its size; and the number of games, books and DVDs for guests’ use has increased - quite handy for our 8 and 10 year olds. The property has complimentary wi-fi which we made use of and a well stocked kitchen which we also used extensively. As hosts, Molly and Angus have always taken their guests needs seriously and are attentive yet discreet. Weather was great so we walked and cycled miles this week reconnecting with old favourites like the beach, pier, Dover castle, Walmer castle, Deal castle and Betteshanger Park (great cycling on and off road). Thanks Molly and Angus. We’ll be back again!

“Beautiful seaside apartment in Deal”
Large, clean, comfortable & spacious. This apartment had everything we wanted and needed. The beds were very comfy which isn't always the case at holiday homes, the bedrooms are huge and bright. The kitchen was well equipped and there is a small sun trap patio outside. The whole apartment is tastefully decorated and you can lie in bed at night and hear the sea from the front bedrooms. The main shops are a flat 10 minute walk away either along the seafront or winding through the old lanes. Parking is on street but we found a space without any difficulty. We would highly recommend this apartment.

“Spacious and super-comfortable seaside retreat”
One of the best places we’ve ever booked for a holiday. Finding accommodation with comfortable beds is one of my priorities - if it’s important to you, then this place is perfect. Bedrooms are really spacious with luxurious bedding and towels. The accommodation was perfect for three couples, and we felt we all had our own space as well as the shared area for cooking, eating and relaxing. The apartment is beautifully equipped with just about everything you need - including things for the beach, dvds, music, games and for cooking (loads of pans/ dishes etc which self catering places often don’t provide). And we did cook several times during our week’s stay, to make the most of the amazing local produce on offer in Deal with its fabulous butchers and fishmonger. We had some lovely meals out as well though, both in the town and further out. But one of the loveliest things was to have everything we needed essentially on the doorstep -the beach across the road, pubs within 5 minutes, and a 10/15 minute walk into town. We absolutely fell in love with Deal. Molly was a lovely host without us actually meeting, leaving us wine and chocolates on arrival and a note when we left, and helping us out with specific recommendations. We will definitely be back.

Our second visit to Angus and Molly’s beautiful apartment yet again did not disappoint! We took our elderly parents, daughter, son in law and two very loveable but noisy toddler grand children! The apartment is very child friendly (although child locks on kitchen cupboards may have stopped our one year old grand daughter grabbing and breaking a side plate! So sorry Molly! ) Freshly laid eggs from Molly’s chickens, a bottle of wine and chocolates greeted us on entry - such a thoughtful touch. Upon leaving after a lovely relaxing week, our elderly mother commented that she would have loved to stay longer (as we all would). We will definitely be coming back a third time! “Perfect for holidays with children”
My partner and I stayed at The Marina with our two young daughters who are 2 and 7 months. Holidaying with babies is no easy feat but this apartment is so well equipped for young children. The high chairs, travel cots and bouncy chairs were all set up ready for our arrival. The kitchen is equipped with kids plates, cups and cutlery (my daughter took a particular shine to the Thomas the Tank engine spoon!) and there is a cupboard full of books, toys and DVDs for little ones which kept mine entertained and happy. The fact that the apartment is all on one floor was fantastic as we didn't need to worry about stairgates, and the garden area was lovely to sit out on an evening. Parking was easily available directly outside the apartment, and the location is fantastic - right on the seafront and a short stroll on the front to the town. We will definitely be back again! “Will be back again ”
We have family near Deal so was looking for a place that had two on suites (I couldn't find any) so wascso please when I found the Apartment,as was celebrating my Birthday with friends.The apartment has lots of room beautiful decorated & lovely & quiet that is a must for my hubby. Every morning we just crossed the road to the beach as I love taking photo's.Also its not far to walk into Deal as we went out every evening. You wouldn't want anything else more from the apartment iss beautiful also thank you for the personal touches to. We hope to meet you both next time. “Great location for birthday bash.”
I booked No 49 for a "surprise" 60th birthday week in Deal involving family and friends coming and going at regular intervals. The accommodation suited us very well. Three bedrooms and three bathrooms leave nobody struggling to find a wash space. The accommodation is very spacious and well-equipped. The sea is literally a stone's throw away. The walk into Deal takes 10 minutes where there are plenty of bars, restaurants and a wide range of shops. Saturday market is worth a visit. No grumbles. Great stay!
