Lower ground-floor apartment with well-equipped kitchen (with oven, gas hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and Nespresso coffee machine), large lounge/diner with doors to garden, flat screen TV (with freeview & Netflix available) comfortable seating and dining table, 1 x spacious twin bedroom, 1 x double room with seating area, TV and doors to garden, and family shower room. Private use of secluded garden, with large patio, table & chairs and BBQ. Good WiFi covering the entire property and garden. Towels and linen provided as well as a Welcome Pack on arrival. Parking available outside the house. Car not essential. Apartment accessed by external steps with a handrail.

Dawlish is a picturesque coastal town with a central lawn and river running through the centre, lit up at night with coloured lights. The town has been made famous by its railway line and rare black swans, and is within walking distance of Dawlish Warren, with its long sandy beach, Nature Reserve and golf course, and is also within easy reach of Exeter, South Devon and Dartmoor. Dawlish hosts an annual Air Show in late August featuring the Red Arrows, as well as an annual Carnival and other events The apartment is within 5 minutes walk of the clean sandy beach at Coryton Cove.

Our 20 year daughter is often available to babysit if you want some quiet time on your own.

Dawlish

Coast/Beach - Coryton Cove - this clean sandy beach is just 5 minutes walk down the cliff path from the apartment. Dawlish town, Dawlish Water and Lawn with famous black swans, and beach - also 5 minutes walk. There is a back gate from the garden onto a pathway leading down to the town. Dawlish Warren - 10 minute drive (or 20 minute walk along the seawall) to beautiful sandy beaches and Nature Reserve. Teignmouth - 10 minute drive with sandy beach, lots of pubs and restaurants, and foot ferry across the estuary to the pretty village of Shaldon and Ness beach and Zoo. Torbay, the English Riviera, 30 minute drive with stunning beaches and secluded coves. Exmouth - 30 minute drive to great sandy beaches and water sports. Alternatively you can get the foot ferry from nearby Starcross. The Jurassic Coast (World Heritage Site) is a 45 minute drive.Surrounding area: Dawlish is situated in beautiful rural South Devon and within easy reach of historic Exeter with its stunning Cathedral, Roman passageways and excellent shops and restaurants. There are numerous coastal walks and cycle routes nearby as well as National Trust and other historic sites, adventure and water parks, including: Powderham Castle - 15 minutes drive or by bus/train to Starcross, Crealy - 30 minutes drive, Living Coasts, Torquay - 30 minutes drive, Dartmoor National Park - 30 minutes drive

A lovely clean and spacious apartment situated close to the middle of Dawlish. Before our visit the owner Robert gave us information on places to eat and numbers to ring to book allowing us to make the most of our stay. The apartment was very clean and really big with every amenity that you needed. It was made extra welcoming with fresh bread and milk for that essential cuppa when you arrive. There was a helpful folder with ideas of where to visit while we were there. We all particularly enjoyed our boat trip from Torquay to Brixham. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to explore South Devon and would happily stay again. Thank you to the owners for making our stay really enjoyable.

Where you stay makes a major contribution to your holiday and this apartment ticked all the boxes and some. It is extremely well appointed and has many, very nice, extra touches, including a vast array of books, games and things to occupy children. (An outdoor Table Tennis Table to name but one) It is located close to the centre of Dawlish, we walked into the village to eat on a couple of occasions. (We would thoroughly recommend Jack Sprats Restaurant, you may need to book) It is ideally situated for many excursions, we covered a fair few places, all within an easy drive. Back to the apartment, the owners, Robert and Sarah, who live on site, could not have been more welcoming and they had put together a very nice welcome pack of bread, strawberry conserve, milk and fresh orange juice, plus the more usual tea, coffee, sugar etc. There is a large lounge with TV etc, the longest dining table ever in the dining area and a very well equipped kitchen. There is an excellent twin room and an enormous master bedroom with seating area and tv. If I was at all critical the lack of an ensuite and dishwasher would be my only criticisms. Minor issues when everything else is so lovely. If it is available........ book it, it really is that good.

This is a great holiday accommodation, modern, well equipped and in a nice location close to Dawlish and nearby beach. On arrival we were met with fresh bread, local honey and a bottle of wine, a really nice touch and much appreciated after our longish journey. The private garden is immaculate and a lovely place to eat or just relax in, as was the case for us as the weather was beautiful. The hosts, Rob and Sarah, were welcoming and accomodating and made us feel at home straight away. I can highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting the area and I would have no hesitation in booking again should we return to this part of Devon - Posted by David, Sarah and Bayley.
