Auks farm in Soreng Darjeeling is a tribute to the black and white flightless bird 'The Great Auk' that became extinct in the mid 19th century by human cruelty and carelessness. Only by learning the story, can we learn how and why species become extinct.

Its is an ideal location to relax and unwind. Sit and watch the clouds roll over the mountains. Go angling on the riverside or take a leisurely walk along the local forests. Our natural eco friendly cabins and tents are cozy, comfortable and quiet. You are also welcome to try a hand at our Organic farm!

Guests will be able to stroll around the farm to enjoy our dining and recreation area and use the kitchen if they prefer cooking their own meals.

Soreng is famous for its Citrus plantation and Orange orchards. This agriculturally prosperous region is surrounded by the green hills of Kalimpong, Sikkim and Darjeeling. A hundred year old Monastery at Takling is a perfect place for hikers . You will enjoy Bird watching here and in Tinchuley. Our more adventurous guests can also take the adventure of River Rafting at Teesta . Tea lovers can visit the wonderful Rungliot Tea Gardens and the beautiful nurseries nearby.

A guided tour for local sights and sounds can be arranged. Costs will be based on Vendor rates.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Sushmita (the owner) a message.

If Sushmita (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
