Description from owner

We chose the name Pomegranate Garden Villas (Artemis, Byblis and Caria) on account of the beautiful pomegranate fields surrounding our villas. The pomegranate is a symbol of luck and good fortune in Turkey!

With more discerning guests in mind we offer superb, unique accommodation with a more personal touch in a very special setting. Location is everything!

VILLA ARTEMIS is on the far right of our properties and has its own private swimming pool at the side of the property. The pool is framed by pomegranate trees and affords great privacy.

The villa sleeps 7. Downstairs there is a twin bedroom and a double bedroom. Upstairs there is a stunning penthouse style master bedroom with an enormous feature bed along with a 4th bedroom (single)

The large kitchen balcony overlooking the pomegranate fields leads down to another inviting terrace by the pool. This terrace area with its comfortable seating is a huge hit with our guests and perfect for your pre dinner aperitif

Villa Artemis is child friendly with stair gates at the top and bottom of the stairs and a gate on the kitchen terrace to keep little one enclosed and safely away from the pool.

Our properties afford fabulous views across the countryside to the sea in the distance. Villa Artemis is the most private of our villas. The sea breeze is most welcome especially in the afternoons. The feeling of SPACE is amazing and the view of the stars at night is not to be missed.

We offer you the best of all worlds: superb accommodation in breathtakingly beautiful surroundings, total peace and relaxation in a natural environment and the convenience of all the amenities that charming Dalyan has to offer just a short walk away. Shops and restaurants are an 8-10 minutes walk and the very centre of Dalyan is a 15 minute stroll away.

Location description from owner

The Turkish Aegean Coast region

The Turkish Turquoise Coast boats 300 days of sunshine a year. In addition to the great climate is a beautiful coastline and an area overflowing with places of historical interest. This winning combination makes it
attractive to Turkish and international tourists alike.

There is a huge choice of trips around the surrounding countryside and coast. The 5000 year old ancient sites at Tlos, Xanthos and Aphrodisias are within a day's drive while Ephesus and the unique 'Cotton Castle' in Pammukale can be visited on a 2 day trip organised from Dalyan. You can also fly to Istanbul in 1hr 10 minutes.

The Iztuzu beach in Dalyan is the second most important site for endangered loggerhead turtles. Imagine a 5km strectch of golden sand from the base of a pine clad mountain to a river delta with not a single hotel, house or car in sight where rare turtles come to lay their eggs at night.

Dalyan is an area of outstanding natural beauty. Spend your holiday in Dalyan and you will undoubtedly want to return, joining the ever increasing number of people who have fallen under its magical spell and cannot keep away. With a charismatic mix of breathtaking scenery, nature, extraordinary Turkish hospitality, as well as restaurants, charming bars, places to shop and lots of things to do, you will experience an unforgettable holiday which will exceed all expectations.

Dalyan is a lovely, small riverside town, a conservation area surrounded by cotton fields, pomegranate fields, orange and lemon groves and pine clad mountains. Development is limited in Dalyan which means no high rise buildings, Greenpeace plays an active role and local people still make a living fishing and farming.

Dalyan has a beautiful beach, one of the last few remaining nesting sites of the loggerhead turtle with its own turtle sanctuary where you can see injured turtles and it has been voted as one of the safest beaches for children and was also winner of The Times Best Open Spaces for Europe.

There are famous local mud baths and thermal springs and an ancient city just the other side of the river as well as spectacular 4th Century rock tombs carved into the cliff face. There is a beautiful lake at the end of the river for you to cruise around and have a barbecue.

Dalyan is laid back, low key and lovely; a unique place that is a hit with all ages. If you are one of those people who vows 'I never go to the same place twice' you'll be in for a surprise

“Beautiful, tranquil villa”

Reviewed 26 Aug 2013

Villa Artemis was absolutely fabulous. Very well thought out, with everything you could need for a family. Interior was lovely, especially the spacious bathrooms. Helena was a fantastic host - met us in town and drove us to the villa (which is walking distance from Dalyan), showed us the location of the supermarkets and then remained an invaluable source of information throughout our stay. The villa has it's own pool, which my kids loved. It's co-located with 2 other villas, which means you are not totally isolated, but still surrounded by the most beautiful pomegranate fields. Plenty to do in and around Dalyan. We hired a car, which made our journeys very easy. Will definitely be going back.

This villa is amazing, it has everything you could want and more! The standard of furnishings etc. is first class. The upstairs bedroom has the most amazing views and the bed is huge and very comfortable. Showers were great and always had hot water. The kitchen is very well equipped and the owners have made sure every type of pan, dish and utensil that you would have at home are available. Outside the shaded terrace was fantastic for al fresco dining (barbecue available also) or relax with an Efes or two! The pool was cleaned daily (early morning so never disturbed our day) and was great to cool off in the midday sun. The loungers and parasols around the pool were also of good quality. Again, the views from the pool area and terrace need to be seen to be believed. The walk to shops/centre was a lovely stroll, Dalyan has lovely restaurants and bars, we never had a bad meal! Easily, the highlight of our trip was the boat trip we arranged through the owners, it was the most amazing day out and great value for money. Our captain Mehmet was a joy and cooked us a fantastic lunch on board. The owners Helena and Dundar are brilliant, from booking the villa, meeting us at the airport and being on hand throughout our stay. This is what makes Pomegranate Villas stand out from the rest as the focus is very much on making sure you have a fantastic stay and not just on 'another booking'! A special mention also to the maid, when we arrived the villa was immaculate and although we did not see her for the mid week clean, we met her as we were leaving, she is an extremely hard worker and had a lovely manner. Well as you can see, we would recommend Pomegranate Villas in a heartbeat, so much so we have not been back a week and have booked again for next year. I was not willing to take the chance that our favourite place to holiday would be taken! Keep up the good work Helena and Dundar, you are the best!

We stayed for a week in this stunning villa. I can honestly say that it has been one of the best holidays we have ever had. Booking the villa was very easy with no problems. The owner arranged the airport transfer for us which made things really easy. The villa is very impressive. It is clean, modern, comfortable and well equipped. You really can't fault it. The pool is spotless and was cleaned every day. The views are simply gorgeous and you are not overlooked. We walked to the centre of Dalyan most evenings which took about 10 minutes. It is very flat so the walk is not difficult. The villa owners are an extremely lovely couple who are happy to help with any issues that may arise. I would highly recommend this accommodation without hesitation.

“Lovely accommodation in rural setting with fab views. Great private pool and shaded veranda area.”

Description on web is accurate and everything is there and in good condition. Helena was extremely helpful and responsive. Compared to the villa we rented in Kas 2 weeks later run by a letting agency, this was much better value and clearly more cared for by the owner. It is a good walk into town: a car is helpful if you are not fully mobile and don't want to carry groceries back in hot weather.

Owner's reply: Thank you very much indeed for your kind comments on Villa Artemis. We do take care of our three properties checking them thoroughly and ensuring that everything is perfect before guests arrive. We strive to offer a personal touch and it's extremely rewarding to hear that this is appreciated by our guests. It's very unfortunate that the Dalyan council decided to "level out" the road just before your arrival, (actually succeeding in making it worse than it was) and then not touching it for a week until your departure. I am now happy to confirm that just after you left they came and put down a new surface making it much more suitable for wheelchairs, mobility scooters and pushchairs. A car is definitely helpful if you are not fully mobile but most people find that hiring a car is not that necessary. A taxi from outside the main Migros supermarket in the centre, back to the villas will cost £6. Many of our guests also make use of the free bikes that we provide for picking up essential items. We thank you for your custom and taking the time and trouble to review our accommodation and look forward to accommodating you again in the future.

“Superbly equiped and maintained villa in very peaceful location”

Reviewed 6 Jun 2012

A beautiful villa which is extremely well appointed and maintained as if new. It is located about a mile outside Dalyan in a peaceful setting with open views and with fruit trees on three sides. The pool is also very clean and well kept. The road leading to the villa is unsurfaced but there is no passing traffic. Dalyan is a friendly small town with plenty bars, good restaurants, an excellent bakery and plenty of food shops. The river is full of boats - ferrying people to the beauitul beach, or going on longer trips, or for those who like diving. The owner, who is charming, lives in Dalyan and could not have been more helpful.

“Great location away from the madding crowds”

Reviewed 11 Oct 2011

We found this villa and it's location very relaxing and had a great holiday there. Externally, everything was well kept and tidy and it was lovely to be amongst the pomegranate trees and fields. Internally, the villa was well equipped, beautifully furnished and exceptionally clean. Helena was helpful, without being intrusive and the fig jam was a highlight !!

“Relaxing, quiet and peaceful stay at Pomegranate villas”

Reviewed 30 Sep 2011

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Pomegranate Villas. There are 3 villas and we stayed in the Artemis villa. The villas are in the middle of a pomegranate orchard and are very quiet and feel quite rural (although they're close to town). The Artemis villa has it’s own pool and from our pool we could see no other houses and had an uninterrupted view of the countryside. The walk into the centre of town takes about 15 minutes and we made use of the bikes provided. The walk is along a very quiet track and a quiet road (very few cars) and the only problem was in the evening some of the street lights along the track weren’t working so the owner gave us a torch to use which was very useful. The villa is very spacious, modern, clean, and nicely decorated. I believe the villas were only finished in July so they were brand new when we visited. The bed was very comfortable – firm but I prefer that. There was 2 bedrooms downstairs and upstairs was the master bedroom as well as a small single bedroom / office. The single bedroom had a single bed in it but it didn’t have air-con so became a bit warm in the day (every other room has very effective air-con). The wifi only worked upstairs and it would have been nice to access wifi throughout the villa and by the pool. The kitchen is large and well appointed – microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, stove, oven, large fridge/freezer etc. There was everything there you could need - even an electric juicer! The owner, Helena, was wonderful – very helpful and friendly and a wonderful host. We locked ourselves out of the villa one morning during breakfast and we had also locked some things in the safe and couldn’t get them out (totally all our fault!) and she came over straight away to sort it out. She arranged our airport transfers for us and also on our last day our flight was quite late so she let us use one of the rooms in her hotel in town for the day to store our bags and have a shower etc. before our flight. All in all a wonderful, relaxing, quiet and peaceful stay at Pomegranate villas.

“Great villa, idylic location.”

Fantastic property...very genuine and professional owners, highly recommended. Very hIgh quality finish and spacious rooms - the lounge to terrace and private pool affords great privacy. The sun is with you all day and indeed 4pm tea on the terrace can’t be beaten. We were seeking privacy as just two of us so this review is probably more couple centric, that said this property ticks the boxes for all audiences (families will have a ball). The master bedroom is bigger than it looks and the bed is truly huge, if you are 6ft+ mind your head in the dark on the way to the ensuite (it's a likeable quirk). The air-con works beautifully (unlike many hotels). A full kitchen was great and fully equipped, showers delivered constant hot water etc Some great practicalities - huge washing line and airier, clothes dried in a tick and no washing when got home (fab). Brand new washing machine, full supplies of liquid etc The bikes were great, cycle to the beach is a good challenge or if feeling more sedate dalyan is so close to get to. Helpful restaurant recommendations - we went with Ramazan Han and never had a bad meal. Pool cleaner was unobtrusive at 9am and you knew the pool was cleaned daily. Airport transfers were superbly efficient and professional. The pool is fantastic for lazy days - as dalyan property is generally raised there is a slight drop off around the pool edges so just keep an eye on the very little ones. BBQ looked great -- the family up the way were going for it big time!! The road to the property has one small unlit section if walking home at night, a good torch and you will be fine. Buy the local mozzie spray and you will be fine don’t waste money on jungle formula etc Wifi a little shaky but believe this is being addressed so should be fixed soon. Booking process was smooth and beautifully honest, paypal a bit of a mixed bag so a bank transfer possibly better. In summary (bearing in mind we are 5* hotel travellers) the property was excellent and we would highly recommend.
