“Enjoyable stay”

Reviewed 25 Aug 2017

Having stayed at the old kirk for the third time, it just doesn't let you down. It's comfortable and quiet. It is unfortunate that previous users had to damage the bell which my grandson was looking forward to pulling as we had told all about it. The old kirk is definately a place that my family would recommend to stay at. Heleen has been brilliant right from the first enquiry into staying there.

Owner's reply: Hello and thank you for your lovely review and repeat visits. I'm always a little worried when people come back because you have a bigger chance of disappointing. Thanks also for your excellent communications and I'm pleased to report we have replaced the handle on the toilet upstairs.

“Perfect for a quiet break”

Reviewed 2 Jan 2017

Just returned after a 3 day break with friends over New Year. Well kitted out kitchen with everything you need. Comfortable lounge area. Good sized bedrooms. Good location 5 minutes from A9, with easy access to forest walks, etc. Dog friendly. Would definitely recommend this property.

Owner's reply: I'm delighted you had a good stay over Hogmanay - all the best for 2017.

“Beautiful house, really special stay.”

This is a beautiful, spacious property which is perfect for a sociable get together. It's in a lovely location not too far from dunkeld, which is well worth exploring. A hidden gem!

Owner's reply: I'm delighted that you enjoyed your stay. The memory stick you left behind has been tracked down and will be sent to you.

“Fantastic holiday home”

Reviewed 13 Sep 2016

We would not change anything about this wonderful holiday home. Everything we could have required, and more, was provided. We visited as a three generation family of seven and three dogs, and there was enough room for everyone to enjoy their own 'little corners' when they wished, as well as the large sitting area. We loved it and will certainly recommend it to friends and other family members.

Owner's reply: I always love it when extended families have a get-together at the Kirk. Thanks for sharing your experience. Heleen

“Lovely spacious house in a fantastic location with great facilities for children”

Reviewed 13 Aug 2012

We had a lovely relaxing week in a great location. We rented the property as two families with four small children and a dog. There was plenty of space both inside and out for children to run around with lots of toys available for the children to play with. The dining table was great for big group meals and the two fridges had plenty of room for our enormous Tesco shop which delivered to the property on the night we arrived. The property was nice and warm, due to its underfloor heating, which meant it was possible to walk around with socks on and much easier to build lego castles on the floor. The location was great with lots of different activity options for wet and dry weather. We did a variety of local walks with children, munros for the adults, runs in the great woods behind the property, visits to castles, soft play, cinema and some shopping all within an hours drive. I would recommend the Old Kirk to any family looking for a relaxing week away.

Owner's reply: Dear guest, we are delighted that you and your friends enjoyed your stay at the Old Kirk. It is particularly suited to such 2 family holidays.
