This lovely holiday cottage is extremely well situated in the heart of the scenic highland resort of Aviemore. There are two bedrooms, one a twin room, the second double bedrooom has a zip and link bed which can be either a king size double or twin beds. Wi-fi is available as is a locked storage area for bikes etc.

A short stroll takes you to Aviemore centre with its shops, cafes and restaurants. Aviemore has a wide range of amenities including nearby bike hire. The cottage is within a small cul-de-sac in a quiet area with off road, private parking for 2 cars and an enclosed rear garden. The interior is tastefully finished, welcoming and cosy with a woodburning stove. The cottage is ideal for couples, families or a small group of friends.

Enclosed private garden. Drying area. At the bottom of the garden is the Strathspey Steam Railway line which runs from Aviemore to Broomhill stopping at Boat of Garten. Have your very own Railway Children experience and enjoy waving to the driver as the steam train goes past! A holiday treat for all ages. Or take a ride on the steam train from Aviemore and stop off at Boat of Garten for lunch. A locked storage area for bikes is also available.

The Aviemore and the Cairngorms region

Aviemore is one of the largest towns within the Cairngorm National Park. There is something for everyone whether you are looking for exhilarating adventure holiday or relaxing break.

Nestling in the shadow of the Cairngorm Mountains and gateway to the National Park, this renowned all year round holiday resort offers a unique variety of attractions and activities such as walking in the surrounding hills, cycling and making use of the nearby golf courses. There is also bird watching, with rare species to be found including Ospreys and Capercaillie. The area is home to historic castles, distilleries, fishing on the River Spey and skiing in the Cairngorm mountains and at the Lecht ski centre.


Dalfaber

The Cairngorm area is the ideal place for outdoor activities. Apart from the mountains themselves, there's also the Glenmore Forest Park to explore, watersports on Loch Morlich and Loch Insh, plus fishing, skiing, cycling and golf. Aviemore provides the perfect place to base an outdoor holiday providing snowboarding to kayaking, quad biking to clay pigeon shooting and a range of unbelievably beautiful walks almost everywhere you go.

The Rothiemurchus Estate welcomes visitors with something for everyone, including a fish farm, guided walks, safari tours, clay pigeon shooting and lots more. Naturally, walking is very popular, with walks of all grades, notably at lower level in the Rothiemurchus pinewoods.

For that rainy day, the Leisure centre at Macdonald Highland Resort has a swimming pool with wave machine and flume. It also hosts a techno gym and games room and has beauty/therapy treatments for that holiday treat. There is also the Strathspey Steam Railway which is operated by volunteers and runs throughout holiday periods. The train starts in Aviemore and runs to Broomhill stopping at Boat of Garten.
