“Ski break”

Reviewed 6 Jan 2017

Unfortunately the weather was too mild and the snow never appeared. However the accommodation and surrounding areas were lovely to explore and the food was excellent. Kids had a nice time. Will be back when the snow comes for sure.

Owner's reply: Thanks for coming John. One thing about Aviemore..the snow will come..its just when that is the unknown..Let me know when you want to come back up and it will be great to see you

“Great location-modern house”

In Dalfaber Village, 2min walk to Co-op, bike hire and pizza place. You can access the Speyside way in minutes and a short walk to Aviemore itself. Warm with good kitchen facilities. In good order. Just as we expected.

Owner's reply: Im so glad you came folks and you enjoyed the local facilities and the cycling...its so good being close to Route 7

“Clean and perfectly equipped property in an ideal Highland location”

Reviewed 12 Mar 2014

We've had the pleasure of staying at Sunbury on numerous occasions and, as a family holiday let, it's just been perfect. Always spotlessly clean and well equipped and great internal storage, we would have no hesitation at all recommending this property. We're a family of four with two boys (10 & 13 ) and they just love it too. The property is located in a new estate on the outskirts of Aviemore, it is simply the most perfect location to walk, cycle, amble into Aviemore and experience all manner of Highland opportunities. We've enjoyed many holidays all over the world, but we just love returning to the peace and tranquility of Sunbury !

“Ideal Cairngorms Holiday Base”

Reviewed 3 Mar 2014

The Sunbury property is in a quiet location, on a new estate, on the north side of Aviemore. We found the house to be spotless and well kept. The fixtures and fittings have all been tastefully chosen and it was a pleasure to stay there. The garden is secluded with storage for bikes and the owners also have some bikes for guests use. The town centre is just a 5min drive / 15-20 min walk from the house. The cycle/walk path between Aviemore and Boat of Garten is right on your doorstep and is nice for a stroll/cycle at any time of day. The Cairngorm Brewery is also nearby and is well worth a visit to pick up a few of their famous ales. Aviemore is an ideal base for visiting attractions in the Cairngorms area. Our highlights were the varied walks (recommend Wade’s Walk at Carrbridge), Strathspey Steam Railway, Rothiemurchus Estate (including Loch an Eilein), 9-hole golf course at Nethy Bridge, Funicular Railway, Highland Wildlife Park, and the Highland Folk Museum in Newtonmore.

“Secret Gem”

Not sure I should be advertising this place, we don't want everyone to know about it!. What you get for the price is excellent. Top quality comfortable accommodation for my family. 3 bedrooms was ideal having a son and a daughter wanting separate rooms. Ideally situated to explore the Cairngorms and other areas of the Highlands and yet only a short walk to the facilities of Aviemore. We couldn't get back last year but we are desperate to go back this year.

“Home away from home”

Reviewed 24 Feb 2014

Booked this holiday home for the weekend for my wife's birthday as we were just looking to get some much needed rest and relaxation. So as we headed up the the A9 with our 3 year old daughter in tow we were able to take in the beautiful scenery. Sunbury, whilst located in a private housing estate has majestique views of the hills/mountains which Aviemore has to offer right from your front window. However when you step inside this is where you feel this is just not a holiday home, it's more than that. The owners have went out their way to make you feel as relaxed as possible by creating a warm ambience. Upstairs the three delightful bedrooms have been made up beforehand with modern fresh bed linen. The main bathroom is immaculate. Downstairs the living room is spacious and wee one was able to play with her toys. the kitchen has all the stuff you would expect to allow you to make meals. Sunbury is located just a 5 min car drive from the Main Street in Aviemore, or a nice leisurely 20 min stroll where there plenty of shops and bars and Lesuire Centre. After a hectic day of being out and about its a place where you can come back to and unwind, and recharge you batteries for another day. Just one rule though treat this home as you would your home and you won't go wrong, I'm already looking forward to going back.

“Great stay at well equipped quality holiday home”

Excellently located and equipped holiday home. Great communication from the owner prior to our stay and accommodation exceeded our expectations. Lovely home with all the necessary facilities and well equipped for self-catering. Good location in Aviemore with good local amenities and a short distance into town which has a good selection of eating places.

“Fantastic modern holiday accomodation in Aviemore”

Reviewed 21 Feb 2014

Very comfortable and excellently appointed modern 3 bedroom house, a short walk from the centre of Aviemore. Excellent location, own garden with decking, off street parking. Ideal for skiers, walkers, cyclists, golfers or just holiday makers looking for a relaxing time. Close to Country Club: swimming / tennis / golf. Short walk to shops, pubs and restaurants. Plenty to do, we had a lovely holiday there.

“Home away from home in excellent location”

Reviewed 21 Feb 2014

Home away from home in excellent location. Exactly as advertised. Would book again. Easy to find. Excellent view of Cairngorm mountain from back of house. Excellent chipper nearby with great home made fish and chips. Kids aged 7 and 8 loved Aviemore in general. Loads to do in area.
